Sumo Pan Asian in East Riding of Yorkshire

Great food as always, was a little smokey due to the amount of food being cooked as the place was full. Great atmosphere one of my favourite places to eat in Beverley

We ordered takeaway for collection. Unfortunately the vegetarian gyoza in the vegetarian udon soup turned out to have pork in them, which I of course only realised once I sat down to eat. As a long term veggie obviously this wasn’t very pleasant. I rang straight away and they promptly refunded me and apologised, which I really appreciated, but a bit more care should be taken, especially when it comes to dietary issues. Fortunately I’d also ordered an aubergine bao which I should say was really tasty and my husbands food looked good too.

Food was lovely but felt like I was being rushed from the moment we got in. Staff were nice decor is nice. Prefer the other one in Hessle. Jyst because I felt more relaxed over there. But main thing about both is food is always good.

The new Sumo Pan-Asian restaurant in the Flemingate Centre is open daily for lunch and then in the evening. We decided to first try out the takeaway menu. Online ordering is quick and the service is efficient. A good selection of starters and main courses are offered. We tried Crispy Duck Bun, Sumo Spicy ribs as starters and Katsu curries and Special Wok Fried Rice.We ordered for four but as two of us are pensioners with limited appetites, what we had, equated to three adults. The food was certainly tasty, well- presented but expensive. At nearly 48 pounds, you are looking at 16 pounds per person. Be warned that you do not get a lot. Hungry customers may well be disappointed. You can get just as good elsewhere in Beverley for considerably less.

Great little Japanese eaterie! Very good quality food in good portions and at a great price. Food was served promptly and was piping hot, straight out the wok! Will definitely call again when we are in Beverly next!!

Lovely food. Very well priced. We had the lunch menu and it was very filling. Staff helpful. Great location. Would highly recommend.
