Visited for an early Easter Sunday lunch. Food was very tasty and portions were generous. Staff were lovely. Would visit again.

Visited recently, a member of our party was blind and had his guide dog with him. Upon arrival it was made perfectly clear that the dog was not welcome we even though it was in its working harness. Totally unacceptable behaviour and we will not ever return to this place.

Great night friendly service fabulous food. Went as a party of 17 and had a room to ourselves . A big thank you to all the staff who made the night special. Top marks will be seeing us again

We only went for a pint here so we just sat in the pub half, which was comfortable enough. Staff were accomodating, they even turned the TV volume off as we were sat underneath it. It's a cosy atmosphere and I can imagine the restaurant half is as nice.

Nice place with a good selection of beers. The staff were friendly and the food we had was very nice.

Couldn't fault the efficiency of the friendly staff and the food was excellent. Very generous with portions. Our evening was spoilt with a large party seated near our table who were extremely loud and we found it difficult to converse with each other. This however was not the fault of the restaurant management and would recommend a visit.

Great fresh food reasonably priced. Staff very friendly. Surroundings and deco - clean, comfortable and attractive. Decent selection of ale's on draught. Don't hesitate to book a table. You won't be disappointed.

Havent been in for a while. Current owner has tried to make the place as quirky & classy as possible at the same time. Really decent aurrounds. Plenty of seating outdoors.. Some of it a touch scruffy but nothing to change the comfort of the surrounds. Touch more upmarket than other local pubs but welcomed in along with our dogs in our scruffs and made to feel very much at ease. Good location and altogether 5 star 🌟

Fantastic steak pie. Really enjoyed the meal. The deserts are fab. Plus my friends from Nottinghan wanted a 2nd helping.

My wife and I have been here a couple of times before. Tonight we popped for tea, but it was a couple of years since we'd been here last. The place looked the same as it did before.I remember having to ring in advance to see if they had the pie on. And tonight was the same no pie ready just cooking it now was the reply. The other thing was the fish cakes, they had been taken off the menu. Which my wife was looking forward to.However things change, and I'm not going to dwell on that.We arrived at about 5.20pm. So it was limbo time, and we didn't know if it was lunch or dinner menu. Anyway it was the dinner menu. Which was very gastro food. I didn't mind, because I fancied the Haddock chips and mushy peas which was on both menus. But on the dinner menu it was £3 dearer. My wife chose really well presented fish dish. The name of which alludes me. It was Haddock, muscles, prawns, scollop style potatoes and onions. It was cooked in a rich creamy sauce, with a hint of garlic. And served with a rustic style piece of garlic bread. Served in a large hot pan.My Haddock was extremely Crispy, and make a pleasing cracking sound when breaking into it. The chips were thrice fried. Crispy outside and fluffy in. The minted must peas and the tartar sauce complimented it very well. There was a bit of a wait for our food. But when it is cooked fresh to order, one doesn't mind the wait. Overall a very nice visit.
