Very warm welcome to my friend and I and my two dogs. Could have sat inside with them, but an outdoor table and chairs was provided at our request. Lovely choice of snacks and cakes

·

A lovely and quaint little cafe, especially enjoyed the milkshakes.

Today my mum asked for a cheese and tomato toasties on brown, lady took the order then the girl shouts from the kitchen she's got it "cheese and tomato on white", mum said sorry no I asked for cheese and tomato on brown. Food finally turns up and it's cheese and raw onion on brown! Mum takes it back to the counter and explains the problem. The girl promptly opens the toasties with her fingers and asks "can't you just pick it out"!?? Absolutely disgusting hygiene. No she ordered tomato. The girl then goes and makes the right toasties but only uses 4 slithers of tomato skin!! She slammed it down and walked off with out so much as a sorry or anything. The girl seriously needs to learn not only manners but common customer service. Such a shame as it was a lovely place and she is so bad for business

I have frequently used this rather quaint coffee shop. The coffee is certainly the selling point with a usually gorgeous gingerbread latte being my fave. It does depend on who serves you though as to how good it turns out but I don't hold this as a negative. What let's this place down slightly is the food. Expect only relatively simple preparations and you'll be OK. Overall, a great stop for a cuppa and chat hence the name is more than apt.Update October 2018; originally awarded 3 stars due to the food choice/quality I'm obliged to upgrade them. An improvement in the menu, whilst still generally simple snacks now includes a scrumptious Mexican chicken toasted ciabatta. I love this particular dish!

Freezing cold place. We weren't asked if we would like a dessert and our dirty plates were still in front of us when we left more than an hour after we finished our meal. Will give 2 stars as the food was nice

Before it got new ownership it was amazing but now they don't have half the stuff on the menu and don't seem to know if they have stuff or not. They don't use ice cream to make the milkshakes so they use some cheap mixture which tastes horrible and I was extremely disappointed and won't go there again.

Lovely atmosphere, delicious food and terrific coffee served by friendly staff. Perfect!

·

Lovely little cafe with a good menu choice. Service was friendly and fast and the food was very nice 😊

Very pleasant place, good quality ingredients. Scrambled egg a bit dry and bland (microwaved eggs I think) but overall a nice meal.Large coffee, hot chocolate, Saturday brunch and a cheese and ham tostie cost over £15 so not the cheapest but definitely the nicest cafe in the area.
