Fantastic food, and all fresh. Steak pie seemed homemade.

We booked for a party of 10+ with all food pre ordered in early March on a Saturday evening. The service was good and staff were tentative, an average selection at the bar and pretty average food the same as if cooked at home. Between us we had a wide variety of homecooked pie, fish and chips, steak and vegetarian tart which all accompanied some plain boiled vegetables and dry chips. All very average and no particular dish was outstanding. Slightly dissapointed but wasn't expecting anything 5 star.

Excellent Sunday Lunch, log fire keeping everyone warm in storm Franklin. Excellent service too.

Gorgeous , really nice sunday lunch ! Even if sat in rain.! Homemade Yorkshire puds, plenty veg and meat . Gravy very nice . Had take away puds, cake custard. So nice . Will be back !!

Steak night on Wednesdays are a delight. Excellent food at a reasonable price. Makes for a very special evening.

Can't praise it enough. Really good meal. My husband had lamb and I had pork, both meals were really good. We both had Bailey and Hazel nut roulade, he had cream and I was rather cheeky and asked if I could have Baileys poured over mine. That's exactly what I got. Quite a small place, staff lovely and polite. The whole thing was less then £20 for both of us.
