A town center public house, inside various small rooms, down the building is the large bar. Wetherspoons is very popular with locals, reasonable prices for food and drinks. Staff helpful and friendly, a very nice atmosphere.

They had technical difficulties so their app wasn't working and they couldn't do card payments. Staff were friendly and efficient and the food was good. On a better day they would probably warrant a higher rating

Good was good! It was pretty busy, and the staff were quite rushed, but still very polite. Over all, a nice time, though they did forget a drinks order at one point, but quickly rectified it :)

I'm generally a supporter of 'Spoons, but this place was grotty on Saturday. Tables not cleared, and everything generally sticky. But the piece de resistance was when a lass ran inside having been in the beer garden, throwing up on the carpet (by the fire door) and then going outside again! (Perhaps she was trying to make it to the ladies, but realised she couldn't make it upstairs. The staff knew about it, but, in the time it took us to (quickly) eat our meals, they didn't do anything to clean it up.

The Manager (well I think she was) was crawling on hands and knees trimming any loose threads from under the chairs - says a lot to me about standards! Lovely genuine lady.Food was fast! I mean fast too! Out piping hot in about 4 minutes!Fab old building, all little rooms, nooks and booths. Very nice.Food was good, coffee hot, staff greatNegatives....The search I had for condimentsI asked in the end and was told "if there is any, they're over there and pointed to a bit of the pub you wouldn't normally go past I thought....I did however get my H.P. Sauce...I won't judge on just one member of a great team

Pleasant atmosphere and good food, lots of different ales to suit all tastes. The chap who served me at the bar could do to go on a course on how to address customers but rest of staff very pleasant , food arrived in quick time and hot, I think Weatherspoons need to change the way they do the rice as it always comes in a lump. Apart from that everything else was good.

Pretty busy. Food came quickly. Rest of family's food was fine, my burger with salad looked like it had been thrown roughly in the direction of the plate.....tasted fine once I'd reconstructed my burger. A little more attention to detail would be a good idea.

Great typical Wetherspoons. Nice and warm, lots of quirky rooms with different characters, can be long queues - USE THE APP, much quicker, order goes straight to kitchens. I stood in line behind 3 lads and a chap (only 1 person behind the bar taking food and drinks orders - 10.30am Sunday) when I got back to our table, the 6 people at the next table who got in just after us were receiving their food. No, they didn't put their order in before us as they didn't know what table they were going to be at (we gave them our table).

The food was nice however, as you can see in the picture my pint of John's smiths was poured Into a Guinness glass. My colleagues of whom I dined with ordered Heineken and both pints came with no life what so ever. We waited over 30 minutes for our drinks even though the bar wasn't that busy. Dirty takes as we arrived. Not what I expect from a wetherspoons pub.

We went a week ago Tuesday. We didn't really understand how to use the app, so we had a server take our order. The curry I had (sweet potato) was delicious, along with the rice, naaan and popadom.. All for £3.99...
