No cask beer on offer but two pool tables! Depends what you're looking for in a pub!

Had a Sunday carvery and it was very very nice. Never been before but will definitely return again. Very clean restaurant and good selection of veg. 3 meats and homemade mash. Even had mushy peas. Excellent value for money. Well done to whole team at the Downe Arms.

Excellent Sunday lunch. You might need to book. If you like your Sunday roast,you'll not go far wrong choosing this place.

Meat at the carvery was delicious, but the many vegetables were sadly lacking in flavour.

Excellent as all ways 6 of us went for a Sunday carvery plenty of choice and Excellent and friendly staff what more can you ask for .

Had to wait for meal as they were very busy, we hadn't booked but they fitted us in, food was very good well worth the wait, friendly staff would recommend

Not bad hotel. Well equipped rooms, spacious, really hot water in the shower. It was the first time that I saw European power adapter in a hotel. Nice separate parking, quiet rooms.Minus one star for cleanliness. Brown stains on white towel and spider web in the middle of the room were not appealing.I can still recommend this place.

Friendly and nothing is to much trouble.Outside looks like 18c terrace houses, but each door is Yr very own room, with big bathroom and studio feel about it.. Pub meals R great, plus in the upstairs of the pub, is a sit down fine Indian cuisine, or u can take out.. Value for money? Oh yes meal for X2 plus breads and rice was under £18.00..... Stay here to believe it. 😊👍

People were friendly and the room would have been OK if it wasn't so poorly kept. The room hadn't seen a good clean in a while, dust everywhere floors not vacuumed and the bathroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a long time. You would think the shower was opaque glass but it was just scum on the glass walls. Safe to say I won't be stopping there again. One good point is the Indian Restaurant upstairs in the pub is Excellent!!
