The Feathers Hotel in East Riding of Yorkshire

Food was lovely. Pub area is lovely. Restaurant is a bit dull. The outside is very deceiving. It looks rundown but is lovely inside.

Had alovely steak meal, then stayed over the room was lovely and clean. On arrival the room was lovely and warm, the only issue was breakfast the full English was very very greasy, floating on the plate so didn't enjoy it. But the choices for breakfast was good. Next time I'll choose something else. But overall lovely stay thank you.

Really nice we were on new part of rooms and very modern and clean. We ate in evening and my "posh scampi " was the best ive had. Breakfast was good too

Stayed one night in room 4. Refurbished and quiet apart from the following morning 7am was bin collection, however, bed comfortable and soon dropped off again. Large bathroom with bath and separate shower. Bar area modernised since last visit. Staff friendly and helpful. Lovely evening meal and great breakfast. Stayed many times in chalets always good value. Sunday roast carvery always great. Would recommend. Parking no problem signage clearly displayed requesting guests to confirm registration number when checking in or using Hotel facilities to avoid fines which have been introduced due to people using the Hotel car park when all off road parking taken.

Took a chance on dinner here. To be honest we were a bit apprehensive about it, but we needn’t have worried. The staff were lovely and the steaks were fantastic. Really incredible food and that was the most important thing for us! Thank you 😊

We live locally, booked a family meal following a funeral but car park booking in system not working. Received £110 fine which they will not cancel???? Now going to court. What kind of hotel does that to locals??? I will never spend money there again! Dreadful place

We booked a 2 night stay with our teenage girls and booked double & twin rooms next to each other. They were both very well appointed ,warm & good sized.The beds were very comfortable , our double had a walk-in shower while the girls had a shower and bath.The staff were very friendly and helpful with the understated professionalism that makes a stay that much better.They even went above and beyond when my oldest daughter realised she’d left some clothes in a drawer, we phoned the Feathers and they checked and posted them to usBrilliant!!We ate dinner on the Sunday night after a good walk earlier and we weren’t disappointed either by the tasty food or the size of the portions. The cooked breakfast I had on both mornings was nothing less than perfect, definitely recommend it.The Feathers does offer the complete package for a short break in the York woldsand reiterates the friendly Yorkshire hospitality vibeThanks to all the staff and locals who gave us a great experience we’ll be back!

Used to love this pub for beer, food and market town atmosphere.Visited on a Tuesday evening where the pub was quite full (quiz night) and the Bowland beer was very drinkable. Great so far but the food was poor. The steak and ale pie was just a mass of dry pastry served with soggy chips (And very nice veg).Hopefully we visited on an off day but I'll certainly think twice about eating there again.
