The Half Moon Inn in East Riding of Yorkshire

Food was very good, but it was a very noisy pub with TV blasting out. We were moved to another table but was just as bad. Also we were billed for 2 extra meals.

Came here as we was at a nearby lodge, walked here for a few drinks the Saturday and came back for Sunday lunch the day after. Reserved the table and we was greeted and shown to our table. Fabulous food, quick service! Had the football on, racing and rugby as the pub catered for everyone. Lovely little village pub!

Went to half moon for 2nd time for lunch/dinner. The food is amazing!! Belly pork is to die for. Really nice friendly staff. Lovely warm atmosphere. Would highly recommend.

Called in for refreshments following a bit of a walk. Nice outside facilities front and rear and the staff were welcoming and attentive. Typical pub-type food choices but being mid afternoon we just wanted something to keep us going so settled for 2 x starters. The pate was delicious with a cranberry pickle to add a piquant tang and my baked camembert was delightful with warm Italian bread and Chilli sauce and balsamic and olive oil dips. Be warned if you go for a full meal as the starters are really substantial! Definately want to go back to sample the slow roasted pork belly.....!

Lovely place to eat, very welcoming with excellent service. A good selection on the menu, and some specials.Generous portions , well cooked, nice assortment of vegetables. Prices are very modest, representing excellent value. Worth the diversion we made from our route!

Great food and as a large party we were very well looked after, cajun chicken sizzling plate was to die for we will be returning soon!

Food was excellent apart from My starter, Wife was happy with hers, hospitality was very good, just a couple of minor faults the special board was advertising £7.50 for starter which when questioned but charged us full price £8.50, when asked they still charged us full price, and served us cold plates!! apart from that it's lovely village pub out in the sticks, but I would definitely come back and recommend my friends and family well done.
