Not the cleanest of places, we were going to have food there but changed our mind quite quickly. Long wait at bar. Gentleman who I spoke to was quite rude.

Food was not great. I had steak pie with creamy mash. The mash was not creamy. It was hard and had been microwaved and wasn't even real mash. The pie had fatty steak in it. We also waited 40 minutes for it to arrive.

Always enjoy a pint or two in The Marine, especially after a walk along the beach on a cold and blustery day. The staff are always pleasant and welcoming and offer great service.I've never had a full-blown meal there but the snacks and sharing platters are really good. The full menu looks great. There's usually a fine selection of cask and keg beers, including some excellent guest ales. On my last visit, however, there weren't any hand-pulled beers available for some reason, which was a bit disappointing but hopefully a one-off.If you're after watching sports then there's a number of large screen TVs positioned around the pub showing various matches and events. They're screening all of the Six-Nations matches too, which is a real bonus. All in all The Marine is well worth a visit - whether it's just for a drink, something to eat or just to escape from the harsh winter winds that the east coast provides in abundance.

Slow service at the bar, the food, 3 Sunday lunches, took ages to arrive and was not the best considering they're nearly twelve quid each. Was going to order puddings and coffees, only to discover they'd run out of milk!Gave up at that point. It's not always that bad, hence the three stars, hopefully this was just an off day.

Nice place, unfortunately waited nearly an hour for food. There was an hour wait apparently but we weren't made aware of this until I checked on our food, and it didn't seem particularly busy. Other than that it was nice x

Great time at the Marine. Friendly staff and nice setting outside, with pods to guarantee social distancing. The views are splendid, right across the Hornsea sea front. Ordering through the app was a bit clunky but hey, were still living crazy COVID times, right? Food was great, had a burger and a pie. Will be back for sure.

Me and my partner had a Boxing Day lunch we both seed the food was well presented and we'll cooked also delish ouse. We would recommend this pub as excellent to other customers also staff was very helpful well done to all Mr Morgan.

The drive to Hornsea in the torrential rain on flooded roads was worth it.Grabbed the comfy chairs to enjoy a Coke and a Tutti Fruity Gin while watch the sea coming crashing in.Great offer on Sunday lunch with a free Starter or pudding. The best Sunday lunch around! The team looked a little scary, but they turned out to be really friendly and welcoming. ❤️

Awful food and service. We attended and after 40 minutes from ordering decided to check where our food was, we were told that there was a 50 minute wait for the food. We weren't told this when we were shown to our table. The food was awful and as we have attended plenty of Greene Kings previously, I don't feel it is representative of the food from other locations. My wife ordered fish tacos and they were so soggy that she had to leave them and just ate the side of chips that she ordered. My daughter ate her chips but left her chicken nuggets. I wondered why and tried them and they tasted like cleaning products. My pineapple burger was edible but the whole of the bottom bun was soggy. We were waiting a little over an hour for our food. In total we were there for a while as the WiFi kept disconnecting from both mine and my partner's phone and we couldn't order via the app.The cucumber was also really dry around the outside and far from fresh. It really wasn't time nor money well spent.

Once again a beautiful coffee with friendly staff and Covid friendly, excellent food and clean immaculate toilets.
