Attentive staff, from the first order the waitress knew our drinks, the Greek grill was delicious and added bonus football was on. Lovely all round pub restaurant

We called in for a last minute Sunday lunch, staff really friendly, lovely relaxed atmosphere, we both had garlic mushroom on ciabatta for a starter it was very tasty and a good portion for the price, I had the turkey roast which was cooked perfect to my liking, my husband had a Stilton burger, no complaining there either. We will be going back.

Absolutely brilliant hospitality from Craig and his wife, turned up they wasn't doing food but they managed to rustle us up some food from scratch and was so welcoming definitely recommend, the pub was clean throughout and the beer spot on with a wide variety for all tastes will definitely be returning

The place looks good from the outside and staff are friendly and welcoming but the food is hugely disappointing. There's hardly any vegetarian options on tyne menu.We had French twist burger with tasteless brie and the burger itself wasn't very nice (The bacon part was ok) and hallumi burger which was on the menu as being grilled but it came as three massive and totally tasteless blocks of hallumi which had been deep fried. Both burgers were on unbuttered ciabatta bread buns which were really quite inedible. The photos I've attached show how impractical to eat these burgers are.My hallumi burger had only 3 bits of lettuce between the cheese and the dry bread. It was not pleasant at all. (See my photo)The onion rings were too 'battery' and greasy. The homemade coleslaw was ok.The chips were good though, hence 2 stars. The dining area was freezing and not homely at all. It wasn't a place I felt cosy or comfortable in. That was due to the layout I think.Such a shame... this place should by so much better. We didn't go into the bar area other then to order drinks so I can't comment on that side though I did notice it was small with football on the TV (which is fine). We called in for Sunday lunch (but didn't fancy a roast) after we had been to the beverley airfield. I wish we'd known to have chosen somewhere better to eat.

One of the most friendly pubs I've ever been to. Staff are so lovely. Food and drink are fantastic. The courtyard at the back is great, it's a lovely relaxing place for some fantastic food and drink. We came with dogs and they couldn't gave been made more welcome .

As we were stopping at Blue Rose Country Park the wife chose The New inn which is a 15 minute walk from Blue Rose. We booked in advance under current covid rules, lovely big pub with dinning room or bar area to suit, also big courtyard to the rear for the sunnier days. After being seated at our table and ordered drinks, we looked over the menu and chose the Chicken skewers & Lamb Kofta both half n half chip's n rice with salad and jalapeño dressing & pitta bread. This was a nice refeshin change from the traditional pub food some pubs rely on, as you get two of each skewer we swapped so we had one of each, food was fantastic rice nice and fluffy, salad & dressing really fresh with chips done to a T' which leaves the Chicken & Koftas mixed with rice & salad in the pitta a pleasure and worth the change. Good pub and smiley staff 😀 if were back in the area no doubt we will be back to try these or other delights on the menu, Thank You 2 happy customers 👍🏻

We booked afternoon tea... I cant recommend it highly enough, I would say it was better then Betty's tea room in York... Not only do you get excellent food, but you get excellent customer service... Cant wait for our next visit
