The Old Star Inn in East Riding of Yorkshire

This is a SUPER place. The staff are so friendly and accommodating...and so are the regulars. The menu is varied, so there is something for everyone. The quality of the food is very good. It's also dog friendly... We called a second time with my cousins who have a well behaved red setter... All the staff made a fuss of him and made us very welcome

Very traditional pub always good food and drinks. Good old fashion values. Definitely worth visiting give it go. You won't be disappointed

After a visit to the beach with the family, we dropped by here for lunch. Our main reason being honest was that it was open and dog friendly, but once we got there we were really impressed with just how lovely everyone was. The place was packed with people with dogs, all very well behaved! The children loved their food, as did the adults. Tasty, honest, and friendly. I'll be coming back sometime.

Really nice place, they have log fires when cold a beautiful beer garden when warm. The staff are really nice too. It has a guest ale on and other good drinks, I didn't try the food but I'm sure it's delicious too,

Lovely Pub, nicely decorated modern/nostalgic interior. Doesn't look much from the outside but don't be fooled! Food is 'Pub food' at the top end of the scale, quality throughout. A Fabulous Genuine home made pie (rare these days) and real chips, Best pint of Theakston's Best (Guest beer) I've had for a while. My good lady had A Gammon Steak with trimmings and the same chips, coleslaw, pineapple and Eggs. Can't recommend it highly enough. Excellent value too! .. edit .. forgot to add that its Dog friendly too!

Firstly, food took 1 hour and 40 minutes. Lasagne was over done, And the vegtables was underdone and looked uncleaned and food was lukewarm at best, lamb shanks were very fatty and poor quality, They acknowledged there faults and gave us an full refund.

Eaten here twice recently, the food is really good, the belly pork is incredible. Staff are all polite and attentive and dogs are welcome

Staff kept busy serving the customers efficiently, even outside. Friendly atmosphere. Good spacious beer garden and food.Deserves frequent visits.Can't fault it! Even serves real ales (3 of). What a lovely pub, the team are so friendly and helpful. Everyone one of them made us feel welcome during our visits while we were on holiday in the village of Kilham.The service was good and the food on both occasions absolutely perfect.It is also a dog friendly pub and Molly our cocker spaniel felt very welcome too.We were very lucky that the sun shone all week and the out door area of the pub was so welcoming. There are lovely snuggly blankets to wrap up in when it gets a bit chilly.Thank you to all the team for making us feel so welcome. We hope the sun keeps shining for you. 🐕😎🥂

Pub staff and landlady working hard to get things up and running after lockdown. Efficient outdoor table service in nice beer garden. My steak and onion baguette with home made chips n salad was excellent- tender, flavoursome steak, tasty chips. Nice clear pint of Theakstons to wash it down. Got the feeling the pub really wanted to help get the public back doing what it has sorely missed for so long.
