Good food, but the waiting staff was inexperienced. We had a vintage port which was not filtered and ended up leaving us short with sediment in our mouth. Overall too expensive for what it was.

Fantastic night had the taster menu and wine would highly recommend and James is such a great host and chef thank you.

·

Brilliant as per usual. James did us a beautiful sharing meal for my birthday & service was fantastic too . Not surprised by Sunday times review, lucky to have this bistro In BeverleyPam Appleton

Not for me unfortunately, the food was very salty, the menu was not easy to navigate and costly....an unusual set up that lacked an identity...Spanish? Tapas was very disappointing.

Over priced and over rated. One big prawn on a plate for £16 then small portions of cheese, ham, salami and a couple of crackers. Wine was good, but £26 a bottle. £100 meal for 2. We've tried it but won't be returning.

We enjoyed a tasty meal in this friendly restaurant. Good choice of tapas style dishes, nice choice of desserts. Good wine list. Friendly staff and reasonable prices.

Visited most recently with a friend to celebrate my birthday. We ate the dipping camembert a selection of tapas dishes, oysters and steaks - everything was delicious, full of flavour and cooked/prepared to perfection. We wanted a particular dish each that wasn't on the menu at this point, but the owner/chef was incredibly accommodating and cooked it up for us, this level of service is so rare but was definitely really appreciated. The food, as always, was exceptional and the service was second to none! Great live music too! I'll never stop recommending this place!

Had lunch here twice in the last month and both times it’s been excellent, it’s a lovely place to spend a Saturday afternoon. The platters are delicious and the tapas is really great. We will definitely be returning for more yummy food and wine, just wish we lived a little closer!

Amazing food, drink and atmosphere. It was great to sit at the bar and watch what the head chef could produce from such a small space! Everything that came out looked amazing and our charcuterie and cheese board (there were hot meals on the menu, but we didn’t have time) was unbelievable and everything was of the highest quality. Can’t wait to go back.

Terrific taste of Spain in a Northern town. Very faithful looking establishment, lots or care and attention to detail here, it really is excellent! Thanks to the knowledgeable and helpful staff, ten out of ten to the chefs though. Prawns perfect, flavoursome and zesty carrot salad was great, amazing patatas bravas and chickpea sides, very decent steak but the star for me was the lamb shish and hummus. Wow. Desserts looked great but I was too full! Some great wines on the menu and very well done cocktails - I can recommend the Old Fashioned, one of the best I've ever had, and the tasty Negroni, also terrific. Lovely friendly environment to eat dinner in too, I'm totally sold. Everyone should try this place!
