Comfort food and real ales in a cosy, traditional inn with log fires, plus a garden and play area.

The Ship is usually a great place to visit however our experience on Easter Saturday did not live up to expectations. Tried to phone the pub for a reservation and check the outside pizza ovens were working as nothing on the website. Only able to book an outdoor table which was fine as the weather was very nice. No pizza oven until April 23rd posted on a notice board and we were refused a menu as we only had a drinks only table! Several empty tables inside and as it turned colder we could move inside until the table was required however the reservation time was 5.30 and it was 6.15 by this time. Not the best visit.

Four of us had a meal here and given a ticket to wait our turn. The Carvery was okay but not exceptional as the roasted potatoes were overdone and the beef was tough. I have to say that the staff were very good and welcoming.

Very nice place, good food. Well organised carvery fast service, decent prices, nice outdoor area for the kids. If I am in the area again would definitely return. If you're in the area I recommend paying a visit.

It was very quiet I'm sure it'll be a different story in the summer season. We enjoyed a very nice beer after a long walk and received a warm welcome. We browsed the food menus on the wall there seemed to be some amazing seafood dishes. We have eaten here a few years ago and had a really delicious meal, well worth a visit

Excellent village pub with real ales and great food! Staff are really friendly and always a good laugh. Locals were really welcoming too and soon felt like it was my own local

Service couldn't have been better - made to feel really welcome, happily supplied water bowl for dog, food arrived just as I was ordering 2nd round and lady offered to bring to table so I could get on with eating. Food a bit pricey until you see the portion size. Beer well kept - Wainwright's on better form than Ringwood Ship faced at time of my visit. Only request is for one of beers to be more local. Thanks for an enjoyable lunchtime.

Very busy. Great veggie option for my wife. Was looking forward to salty sea dog fish platter but the scampi was lovely with crispy chips, peas and tartar sauce. Lovely food, good service!

Great place to get a drink and a spot of lunch. Located to the north end of Bridlington along the scenic coastal path and just set back from the cliffs. Huge beer garden overlooking the sea with a small kids play park. We turned up on a busy sunny day and the staff managed to fit us in. There were a live band in playing folk music and covers of popular music, great atmosphere. There is also an outdoor wood burning pizza oven serving great pizza. We ordered a roast pork/beef sandwich which came in a box with roast potatoes, roast parsnips, puddings and gravy. The food was really good, the staff really helpful and a great oication
