Had been told many times about this place, so decided to give it a try. Booked a table for 4.45, when I arrived they informed me all the meats bar one for Sunday dinner were sold out, along with other sides that normally accompany a traditional roast. The drinks served were wrong, they changed them. They were then flat, I told them twice, a staff member sneered, then changed them. I told them they were still flat, they told me that that's just how they were. Oh, alright then. Dinner arrived, all tepid at best, and took me a while to find my veg under the litre of gravy. Potatoes chewy, meat 90% fat, veg harder harder to find than wally. Premium prices, bargain basement service and food. They stick a service charge on anyway though. I don't don't I need to say this, but I will anyway - I won't be back.

Absolutely brilliant.Really tasty food, cooked perfectly in really nice surroundings. Plenty of space - loads of tables but still somehow manages to retain the warm welcoming environment of a village pub.It was really busy when we visited but we were still served within good time.Service was perfect. Timely and attentive, always seemed to know when we wanted more drinks. It wasn't cheap, but if you're looking for a cheapo two for one you won't get food of this quality. Highly recommend the Brantingham burger. Don't know what's in that special sauce but it's bloody delicious! In contrast to previous management, kids are welcome, there's a good kids menu and plenty of open space outside with a play area.If I had to pick anything that I wasn't keen on it would be the dogs in the restaurant... Particularly when they started barking. But then I suppose being dog friendly is a good selling point to many people and they're just as irritating as my noisy kids are 🤣

Fantastic food, water on the tables, linen table clothes. Friendly helpful staff, even gave our 3 labs a treat. Beautiful environment. Food was also astounding

Absolutely amazing food, brilliant menu, lovely decor, good service, ample car park, beautiful location. Not far from the wolds way trail. Friendly staff. Definite return planned.

Met up with friends for a circular walk from Brantingham just off the A63. Rang ahead to ask the pub if we could park in their carpark. No problem, booked a table for our return but unfortunately my navigation wasnt up to spec and we were late only 10 mins before closing. Despite this the staff were very accommodating and got us a table in a lovely spot, we ordered and enjoyed a very good lunch. Thank you all very much for your kindness and consideration. As I said at the time you have a little jewel of a place we all enjoyed our lunch and drinks and hope to be back soon.Pete, Fay, Graham and Liz

Excellent! You will not be disappointed if you eat at the Triton! You must book! and ask for a table near the fire! The menu is very good. This is not the cheapest of pubs to eat at but the quality of food is excellent. The calves liver and the halibut dishes are particularly good. The Welcome is always warm and friendly and there is a constant check that all is well with your table and the food. The re may be a little wait for the food bu that is because everything is cooked fresh. However if there is a party of you then the time passes quickly in a very homely and atmospheric restaurant. Highly Recommend!

Anniversary lunch - the food was excellent, as was the service from the moment we arrived to the moment we left

A brilliant setting for a wedding. 2 x bars with a wide range of drinks. Service was top notch, each one of the bar staff was friendly, fun and attentive. Food was varied and great. Have been for Sunday lunch before and it was just as good. Thoroughly recommended for an evening out or to host your big day!

This place has just got it right on all fronts. Food is great and the Marquee and ordering service introduced since COVID have made the whole experience and service better. This and the Fox and Coney (sister pub) are the best pubs around here
