Food perfect every time friendly staff well recommend

Had the 3-course Sunday lunch with tea or coffee, good value at £21. Plenty of choice for all courses. The mains were nice and hot (& on hot plates too) with a good selection of vegetables, followed by a varied sweets menu and a nice cafetiere of coffee. Good service too, definitely recommended👍

First went to The Trout Inn19 years ago and vowed never to go again. Grubby, old fashioned, like stepping back in time and the staff anything but friendly.This visit was a club Christmas dinner. Nothing had changed in 19 years!! Same decor, same rude bar staff etc. The food was nothing special, plain home cooking, but far too many tables for the room we were in. The young lass's serving couldn't get round the tables. My vegetable pie was sat getting cold for ages while we waited for veg to come to the table. Small portions. The trifle was nice, but tiny portion. If the club Xmas dinner is there next year I'll probably give it a miss.

A good old fashioned pub and restaurant, nothing done fancy but everything done well. You will be made very welcome here, the staff are genuinely pleased to serve you. Worth a try, especially for the Sunday lunch, always busy with regular customers.

First visit to this country pub/Inn which had a nice but a little old fashioned feel. That is not meant negatively as owners and staff were very friendly and efficient we felt comfortable and relaxed and the food which was served quite quickly was superb including a very generous portion of meat. Would definitely go again when in the area.

Excellent food ,good service ,situated near the little River .

First time visit here. Called in today for lunch. Very pleasant welcome .A small lunch time menu available at £9.90. We both had steak & mushroom pie absolutely brill. Came with chips and mash and veg. I had apple pie and custard which was very nice and my wife had a daim cheesecake. Overall very good meal shall be going again very soon

A great meal as always The friends who were with us were surprised as they had never been before and they will be booking again Every thing was superb as usual a big thanks to Keith and all his staff .
