Great food from a large menu and great service from friendly staff

Extensive menu, fabulous food. We have been there 3 times now and had something different each time. Starters and mains were all first class. Great service and atmosphere.

We took the family for Sunday lunch, the staff, the food and the place were all excellent. Will be going again.

For a special occasion the whole experience was exemplary. The attention to detail, the quality of the food, the presentation, the timings, the atmospheric venue, smartly dressed team and the professionalism have all been carefully adhered to despite the obvious limitations of the last eighteen months. They've managed to preserve a deliciously varied menu, when others have trimmed back to a very basic offering, maintaining the potential for that uncomfortable moment when you briefly think "I wish I'd ordered that!" On top of all this we also discovered our new favourite wine, from the clearly well thought out wine list.We've been before, several times, over the years and have never been disappointed. Obviously, we'll be returning when we're celebrating another special occasion.

Lovely lunch in a relaxing and welcoming setting. We did not pre book but had no problem getting a table. Dealt with my no gluten requests brilliantly. Varied menu, lots of choices.Parking good and located in a typical East Yorkshire village. Would recommend. Enjoy.

Our fabulous local - perfect for a drinks night with friends. Lovely atmosphere, service and very nice loos, too!

I've eaten here any number of times before, but somehow the amazing food always takes me by surprise. It is a truly exceptional dining experience, with none of the pretentious nonsense that sometimes accompanies places as classy as this one. It's a 'must do' if you are holidaying in East Yorkshire. For those of us who live here...it is another fabulous reason to be grateful!

Had a lovely meal here last night food excellent,But to be sat on a table in what is the corridor not good.We asked when booking for a table in the bar area? Not the hallway.People passing through doors opening onto the bar area and store room! Plus the toilets!We asked to be moved but nothing available,Sorry not good enough.My outlook through the only small window, was onto a pair of step ladders, in a back yard!
