The Wolds in East Riding of Yorkshire

I visited the hotel on 24-26th June 2020. The staff were beyond brilliant and really went out of their way to make my stay as pleasant as possible. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Although we couldn't use the main bar area, food and drink were brought to our rooms, however, we were able to sit outside and enjoy the nice weather. The hotel is set in a really nice area and there is a local shop if you need supplies. Rooms, very comfortable and spacious and the bathrooms have a powerful shower and deep bath. Looking forward to a return visit. Well worth the money.

Sunday dinner was excellent. Would highly recommend a lovely meal in a lovely pub. We had to sit in the coffee shop as bar area was closed due to staff tasting the new menu. Still a nice room and we got to see the new dishes come out which all looked excellent. I would also like to point out how friendly the staff all were.

Good lunch menu catering for all tastes and dietary choices. I had very tasty Yorkshire sausages with mash and vegetables, while my conpanion had red Thai curry which he said was very good. The Black Sheep beer was a good accompaniment.

Sorry not impressed. The menu was very limited. We ordered sausage for my 18 month old grandson and was brought a piece of pork. We waited for ages for our main and when it arrived was not impressed. Very small quantity of veg for 4 people. Wanted a dessert but there was nothing on the menu to tempt any of us. What a let down. Won't be going there again

Food was different and not really to my taste. My friend enjoyed hers which was a special. We were sat at one table but then were asked to move into one which was in a dark area so we moved a lamp onto our table.

Booked a Private Function room for a family wake recently. The Staff were excellent from start to finish, nothing too much trouble for them. Straight forward booking from the start and great communication, the food which by the way was excellent. A sad occasion but we were very well looked after - thank you to all the staff.

Fabulous place! Food was absolutely delicious. I had the deep fried Brie with cranberry sauce, amazing starter! For the main course I had Roasted Pork Belly it was very tender and cooked perfect. The service was perfect and faultless. Julie , Nathan and all staff are brilliant professional and so helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. I also have to say the accommodation is immaculate. Five stars for you Ferguson Fawsitt. Definitely will be back

We spent a night in room 6 of the lodge.Lovely comfy beds in a large airy room with en suite. Branded tea coffee and hot chocolate drinks were available as well as 2 delicious home made biscuits. The pub is lovely, the bar staff wear traditional apron, shirt and tie uniforms and are very attentive. The building itself is beautiful.After a good nights sleep in our comfy beds we enjoyed a hearty freshly cooked breakfast.10/10 for comfort and price.

Beautiful place, I cant wait to return. My room was nice and the food was the best I've had in years!

We were celebrating a 65th anniversary meal and the staff could not have been more helpful. The food was delicious and the selection of drinks extensive. We chose from a Christmas menu and each course was a great sized portion and we left full. If you are taking anyone with any mobility issues it would be better to specify being on the level with the disabled toilets as we were downstairs and it was difficult for my elderly grandfather to get to the toilets. All in all a lovely setting
