6 of us met for a lovely lunch. All very pleased with what we had from a delicious sandwich and chips to a very tasty soup and warm roll. Good sized table in the conservatory with plenty of space between tables too. No reservations taken at the moment so we arrived early and only had a short wait to be seated all together. Will certainly be back.

Excellent accommodation and all in-keeping with the era depicted. Nice to have a ground floor room. Breakfast and evening meals super as usual.

Huge jacket potatoes, decent mug of coffee, large means large here! Quickly served, nice atmosphere though we didn't get to sit by the fire!

Fabulous room, exactly as shown in pictures. We stayed in the Tudor room and our friends stayed in the Victorian. Beautiful grounds. Can't use enough positive adjectives to describe our stay. Restaurant food was fantastic, we had breakfast ( included in booking ) and ate an evening meal too. Fantastic value for money. Well worth the visit

Perfect stay. Lovely accommodation in a tastefully styled room with a four poster bed. Beautiful and peaceful woodland views. Friendly hosts and the food tasted incredible and at very reasonable price too

After travelling all the way up from Essex to see Keane @Scarborough we just crashed out here because of the weather, and had a date night instead! What a lovely retreat, lovely surroundings, food was excellent, and Theakston's on tap!! We love the bedroom themes, and the option of having breakfast in your bedroom! We will be coming back here again!

Lovely place. Great food and beautiful arts and crafts shops. Very friendly people who provide a lovely calm rest stop when travelling. I believe they also provide accommodation but I can't comment on that as we haven't stayed there overnight.
