Our coach broke down just around the corner from the Bay Horse Inn. 50+ of us turned up unannounced, it must have been a terrifying experience for the sole bar person. She handled the situation very professionally before she was joined by more staff. The service was excellent and the welcome we received was very warm. I would definitely recommend this fine hostelry.

Last minute dining for 10 was absolutely no problem at allAll good is home cooked, arrived steaming hot and fresh. The best chips I’ve had for ages whilst out for food, proper home made chips 😍Pie of the day was amazing 😍 halloumi fries are definitely handbreaded. Home made onion rings too.Everyone had a lovely time and great foodWill be back! Especially as you’re dog friendly ♥️

Cant really review properly as we didn't stay long. After being unable to find food available at a nearby pub we turned round and headed to the Bay Horse - outside signage said food all day yet we were told on entering that the kitchen was closed. The hospitality industry has been vocal saying that Covid/lockdown has cost them money - in all fairness its that apathy of pubs/restaurants like these that cost then money. If they can't be bothered to serve people looking to spend money then they don't deserve customers.

Old traditional pub, possibly in need of a bit of updating but the staff are very welcoming and friendly - ready to have a chat. Very popular with locals. Inside it still has the old bar and bar stools which is good to see in a traditional pub, and a good range of draught beers. There is a very large car park with parking spaces for disabled. A ramp up to the door for wheelchairs and wide doors make it very accessible. For the better weather there is a large beer garden, although this is next to the busy main road.Food is basic 'pub grub' with nothing fancy but it was cooked well and very tasty and portions were very large with reasonable prices. The kitchen has a top grade of 5 hygiene rating.TVs with Sky Sports are dotted around and a pool table and dartboard. In all, a great place to while away some time, afternoon or evening.

Nice country pub with extensive outside seating and a decent range of home cooked food. Visited on a Saturday lunch and there was a nice atmosphere and buzz to the place. Food is homely and reasonably priced, drinks are well looked after and the staff are friendly. Good place to refuel after a walk or countryside drive out.

Very warm and welcoming the food was delicious, They even let me order a bowl of beef for my dog. I just wasn't too keen on the salad dressing, but that's just a personal opinion. The ale was lovely too. U will go again when I'm next in the area.
