Costa Coffee in Hambleton

Go in here at least 3 time’s a week and can see a steady decline, no one at till eventually got our order minus a knife, spoon, saucer no offer to bring it over as I had my hands full, no tray and then had to sit at a dirty table, I get if it’s busy things take a little longer but it was fairly quiet at that point, when we left half hour later no one at till again and not one single table cleared. Come on wake up

Visited today for the first time in two years and was shocked to discover how quiet it was. All soon became clear. There only appeared to be one barista, which might explain the lack of sugar at the counter (we had to ask for it, at which point she disappeared to get some more stocks and returned to painstakingly refill the counter supplies, leaving us to wait rather than giving some to us first, knowing that we were waiting). Then I found that despite having three coffees we'd been given one spoon between us. When I went back to the counter to look for two more (while the lone barista was still in pursuit of sugar), I discovered there were only forks. The lattes themselves were insipid at best, tasting more like tepid coffee milkshake or Gaviscon with a few coffee grains stirred in. Never mind there were absolutely no vegan choices available -not that I'd dare ask for food when a decent coffee seemed to be beyond the staff member's capabilities. We won't be visiting again. No wonder South Side is doing a roaring trade!

Avoid if you don’t want to wait 15 mins and your second in the queue. Staff look fed up and the place is dirty and untidy.

A nice little coffee shop with a really friendly team it was busy enough to have a buzz but not too busy to sit comfortably. Service was a little slow today with a long queue though

Staff are friendly and helpful. You don't have to ask for what you want it's there ready and waiting for you.

Not good dirty tables. Paper cups left all over tables . With 3 staff on . Normally all costa.stores. are clean . No excuss still with covid about . .

Currently in here. Monday 17/1/22 4pm. Just ONE amazing young (french?) lady in the store. Increfibly quick, efficient, polite, capable. Very diplomatic re her current circumstances. Give this girl a raise or at least a bonus !COSTA...don't take afvantage of your best workers. She deserves better !

I use this place alot when I come to Northallerton but when I went back to the till to buy something else the two women were stood by the coffee machine talking, one said won't be a minute as they carried on chatting so I gave up and said forget it, they never said anything and didn't apologise, they both seemed to ignore me afterwards.

Always a great experience in this store, it's always busy which speaks for itself. Never had a disappointing drink or snack here. I went for the purple one hot chocolate and it was delicious. Also had the millionaire's shortbread it was divine. Thank you costa!

Stopped for my first Costa Coffee since Saturday 7th March 2020 due to having COVID and subsequently Long COVID meaning I still don't go out much. Served by a young lady who prepared my Cappuccino. I really enjoyed my drink.
