Diner 168 in Hambleton

Very good and reasonably priced food, perfect for a quick pit stop on a journey. Decor could do with an update but it emits a US diner vibe so suits how it is. Extensive menu for all times of the day, we had the breakfast which was fantastic and simple.

Our very favourite A-road eatery. Old school, and the loos can be a bit nippy in the winter, but the staff are so friendly and the food freshly cooked and tasty, with an excellent vegetarian selection. Like Little Chef, but with much better service!

This place is clean and tidy. The food is quality is very reasonable and the price charged is not to bad for a stop of on the A19The staff are very friendly and accomodating and the service is very good.This place is a very worthy place to stop and have a rest and eat on your travels.Well recommend.

Went for breakfast, clean, the staff friendly and a perfectly cooked full English. Good quality bacon and sausages! Will eat there again.

Was hungry tried 4⃣ places first but they didn't do food till later saw 168 cafe open 🔓 ordered mixed grill and thurerly enjoyed it. The food was good and the whole experience was great.

A bit dated and tired inside however warm welcome and tasty food. Service was a little shoddy forgetting simple things like milk for the tea, cutlery condiment tray. No one broached our table even when we'd finished to ask if we wanted puddings or anything else, in fact my dessert order was taken by the chef! After catching his eye for attention.Having said that, our waitress was young and inexperienced, it's by no means a complaint of the overall experience. When asked about our visit the above observations where mentioned and the staff were most apologetic. The experience would not put me off calling in again.

I stopped here because I was cold on my motorbike and thought I'd have some grub whilst I was at it. Its a clean, light and spacious restaurant and the food is reasonably priced for a roadside diner. I had a brunch breakfast which filled me up and a couple of coffees, came to about 11 quid. A nailed on 4/5 for me.

A friendly welcome awaits you at this pleasant independently run restaurant located on the southbound side of the A168. The clean, bright & airy, if perhaps slightly retro decor makes a peaceful change from the usual larger service areas. The food is simple, fairly priced, prepared for you fresh & with heartfelt care. A pleasant place to pop by on your journey. I will visit here again.

Excellent. This was just like how little chefs should be. Really friendly and fast service and a reasonable price. Don't missed this one if your passing. Well worth waiting a little longer on the road.
