Golden Fleece Hotel in Hambleton

Booked for afternoon tea for 5. Disappointed in the service, had to go and find someone to ask for a number of items that were missing which were standard items in an afternoon tea (milk and jam). Sandwiches were the best part of it, picture on website no reflection of items provided. Zero customer service, didn’t come and check if all was okay! Didn’t acknowledge us on leaving! There was no one else in the dining area so service should have been much better!

Had a lovely lunch there staff friendly and pleasant. Other half said it was the best fish and chips he had ever had the fish was delicious. Would definitely return.

Hi Mr Mrs J Stevens.Our stay at the Golden Fleece we enjoyed it very much the staff were lovely and very polite nothing to much trouble would recommend anyone to stay. The food was excellent and the only thing far to much but very delightful and presented well. Had a lovely stay.

Really lovely hotel. Bottle of waters at side of bed. Top marks for this. Small token but forgotten by some many bigger hotels. Delicious breakfast. Lovely bar with nice staff. Will be back.

We stayed over the other weekend as part of a family get together and the accomodation, food and service was excellent.As a family group of 8 they put us in an annex on our own for our evening meal and its was brilliant 👍Would highly recommend 😉

We had a lovely two night stay here. Fab room, lovely staff and outstanding food, drinks a little pricey, but thoroughly enjoyed it and will return

Came here for a family meal on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't too busy. The decor is lovely, nice seating and the lighting is good with nice chandeliers and open spaces. Especially good for those worried about COVID as there are some plastic see through dividers near some tables close together. The menu has a good variety of options making it hard to decide on a main, but I went for the plaice fillet in the end which was delicious. Everyone enjoyed their meals, although we found that the onion rings were quite bland.The service was quite good when ordering, but once we finished eating it took a while for our plates to be cleared (at least 15 minutes or so).Either way I would go again and recommend it to anyone.

The room was excellent. Very cosy, beautifully presented and full of great touches for the traveller. The meals were just incredible and if I could give them more stars I would!

Very impressed with the overall service at The Golden Fleece! Four of us ate there last night and it was first rate in terms of location,food,staff. Our night was made all the better by the wonderful staff,in particular Jodie who looked after us and more- Excellent!!!

Very comfortable. Only had coffee and a scone but lovely. And our little poodle was made a fuss of by the staff so he enjoyed it too. Hope to return. Thank you.
