Lovely pub,great breakfast,and lovely people

Sunday lunch was brilliant. Fresh battered mushrooms & homemade garlic mayo. The roast lamb was plentiful, lean and extremely tender. Didn't need a knife !!! Neither of us could manage a sweet. Staff were efficient and attentive but we're were certainly not rushed. Recommend it !!!

When I have Sunday lunch here, I miss out on a starter and dessert. That's because the main course is so substantial, washed down by a pint. Been here more than once for a birthday treat.

Best food I've had for a long time. Real old fashioned country pup. As it should be. The portion and the quality of food is just second to none. Hidden gem, friendly relaxed atmosphere. Can't wait to come again

What a fabulous evening you provided for us. Excellent food and service everyone enjoyed it tremendously, especially the the lamb and beef cooked to perfection. More than enough food for everyone, 17 people catered for, fantastic service A really lovely place to stay also a very nice comfortable room and an excellent breakfast to look forward to. Had lunch here, amazing, the chips were home made and cooked to perfection, the steak pie was brimming with large cubes of lean beef that just melted in your mouth, served with chips and fresh veg, my friend had the vegetarian quiche, also amazing! Will be going back regularly, what a find! Warning, the portions are massive!

Fantastic querky place! Great welcoming staff, owner was very kind in cooking me fish and chips outside of normal food hours at after a long day at 21.30hrs checkin! Beer was excellent! Room was cosey and more than what I was expecting. Breakfast was on point! Thanks all! Will definitely 100% stay again and highly recommend!

Fantastic little gem . There are 3 chalets at the rear of the pub away from the noise of the road and pub , so very quiet. Very clean, and spacious, we had the family room , bed comfortable , lovely shower & bathroom, a room with a cot wardrobe, and Chester drawers , and out door space with table & chairs which was a lovely bonus. Land lady is very friendly , kind & welcoming. Pub & restaurant superb, food delicious . Breakfast very tasty. Would recommend a stay here !!

Stayed here overnight during iur visit to the Dales. It was just close enough. The pub was nice with friendly staff and good food. Room was clean and comfortable. Overall, good value for money. Great pie!
