Richardson's Restaurant in Hambleton

I fancied some supper on the way home and was passing this joint so thought that I would give it a try. Firstly the young man who approached me who I think was the manager was very welcoming and very professional too he looked quite young but he had such a great manner and confidence about him. Well that was a great start, All the staff were efficient polite and friendly.. The food was bang on ..my medium rib eye was cooked to to perfection very nice chips and a very delicious banoffee ice cream cake to finish I have to give this place 5 stars because it was flawless...

Staff were friendly and welcoming. Food was good. Hotel rooms were clean but basic and an update and refurbishment is over due. Bed was comfortable. No toiletries provided only hand wash after asking for it. Room was very hot due to the hot weather, a fan was provided. We left the curtains closed when we went out for the sat to keep the sun out and try to keep the room cooler but when we returned staff had opened the curtains so the room was very very hot.

B&B excellent we had a family room..Bed very comfortable slept well bathroom bit small but managed. Breakfast menu fabulous choice and huge selection well presented and lovely food. Very reasonable priced..We're back tonight for a meal after a busy day moving in our new home,!Will definitely recommend to visitors in future.

We booked a table for a spur of the moment tea. On arrival the staff were smiley and welcoming. We had a drink outside and then went in to our table. I ordered lasagna and my partner had buttermilk chicken burger. Both were delicious. Not a scrap left!

We stayed overnight en route to Whitby and had a lovely stay. The bar/pub was friendly and had a good selection of drinks. The food in the restaurant was great with attentive service. The room was very comfortable and we had a good night's sleep.

This was our first visit to The Owl and we were a party of 7. We had a very warm welcome when we arrived at the restaurant and our drinks order was taken soon after we were seated. The choice of food on the menu was very extensive and we were given just the right amount of time to decide. The waitress checked my dietary requirements with the chef and I was able to find an alternative dish. The children were brought goody bags with lovely toys and colouring sheets which was such a nice touch.Our food was served promptly and was really delicious, especially the breaded garlic mushrooms, Korean BBQ cauliflower wings, the burgers and the children's hot chocolate brownie and ice cream! The service was brilliant and a mistake on the order was quickly rectified with profuse apologies and the staff were so friendly and helpful.We will now make this our local as we live in the next village!

Stayed here for 2 nights. Room was clean and comfortable. Towels were already in the room. We stayed in the annexe which is situated a short walk across from the main hotel. The restaurant was lovely and inviting. Food was really good, we had the breakfast and an evening meal. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Would highly recommend staying here or even just treating yourself to a night out.

When paying £15 for a steak pie I'd expect something better than a Pukka style pie (the sort they used to sell in chippies) with no chunks of meat, a dollop of potato and a small portion of veg. The fish and chips were not much better and priced similarly. I don't think it would cost a great more to provide food that is reflective of the price being paid.On the positive side the staff were very pleasant.

I visit quite often because I live nearby and have enjoyed the food and atmosphere each time I’ve been. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the food is always lovely, I particularly enjoyed the desserts yesterday. I took my mum and boys for Mother’s Day and it felt like a special occasion.The children’s meals are good and they really enjoyed the roast dinner as did my mum and I.I'm looking forward to the next visit.

Went for a meal with friends on a Tuesday night. Not very busy but tables well spread out. The food was fab, we all had the beef burger and all really enjoyed it. Really tasty and the portion size was manageable!!Staff were so friendly and helpful and although we were the last ones to go there was no pressure to leave.Would definately go back again soon
