Easter Sunday Lunch. Had starter of the specials board, it was lovely and just the right size. Went for the sea bass for main, loved the crispy skin and the ratatouille was full of flavour. Bit disappointed with the desserts. I had toffee ice cream sundae and mum had Crème brûlée. Too many hard lumps in the sundae of toffee. No toffee sauce and very little ice cream. Squirty cream is not good either! Brûlée had a very strange taste, and the poached strawberries added nothing to the dish. However desserts aside, it was a very nice experience and I will be going back soon, because I am sure their other desserts will be more to my taste. Staff efficient, friendly and accommodating.

Lovely stay here after our wedding. We had previously booked a table but when we arrived there was no record. This was not a problem as we ended up with a Window table. Suite lovely and four poster very comfy and the room had a massive bathroom. Our meals were lovely and the staff very friendly. We will be back.

This place is nice. Bedroom clean and food is really nice. Breakfast spot on. Friendly staff. We asked for a cheese board to take to our room on the night it was one of the best cheese boards I’ve had.

Quite a formal but professional welcome on arrival and informative. Room was small but well furnished and warm. The hotel itself is nicely decorated and comfortable with a quirky layout which is probably due to the age of the place. The food in the restaurant was out of this world, the steak was fantastic.Breakfast this morning was delicious and the full English option used quality local products. The bacon is to die for.I’d highly recommend a stay here or a meal but reservation is a must as it’s a very popular venue

Not sure where to start. We booked a 2 night stay with my parents. We stayed in one of the suits. What lovely accommodation. Everything you could want and more. Parents stayed in one of the standard rooms. Which was nice and functional. Just need to carry out some minor repairs in the rooms, but nothing that would spoil your stay. We had breakfast on both days which couldn't be faulted only the full English was slightly small. The evening meals in the restaurant were excellent. Good food and service. They also accommodated some unusual requests. Lastly the staff here are amazing and nothing was too much trouble. We felt really at home and offered advice on things to do and places to eat on our way home. All in all an excellent and we have already booked to go back.
