The Black Bull in Hambleton

Really good home made food. Really good portion sizes. Very friendly staff. Nice environment. Mince and onion pie was really tasty and lovely gravy with bits of stew meat on top. Cannot find a single fault. Will be back soon and often. 4 meals and drinks for 50 quid. Excellent value.

Great old fashioned British pub, cosy, friendly and full of character. Good selection of Ales and lovely traditional pub grub.

Don't be fooled by the exterior, this is not your bog standard pub. This is a place of culinary excellence!The food is clearly fresh and made on site, none of the usual microwave meals here, and tastes devine!The staff were attentive and friendly, and the general atmosphere was that of a local pub. Somewhere you could easily end up regularly.Dogs are allowed in most of the pub, and staff were more than happy to dish out pets! Much to our dog's delight!

Loved the food here: proper cheese and onion pie, and also multiple dishes with black pudding available. They also do vegan and veggie dishes as well. Big portions too, so you won't need to eat for the rest if the day afterwards!

Absolutely amazing food, when family or friends visit a trip to the Black Bull is a must. Can not fault the place, the food, the staff and the service.So much so we arranged a birthday gathering of 22 people. All was perfect with everyone enjoying their meals which were served together and all hot.A brilliant place to go.

Lovely meals today. I got a full explanation of gluten free items. Butterfly chicken with stilton sauce, handmade safe chips was beautiful. No room for dessert.Great experience, I'll be back on my next trip.
