Beautiful pub . Friendly staff. Clean warm and welcoming . Ordered the house special steak pie of the day but was disappointed as 1 piece of steak in it and lots of carrots and peas advised staff and theyboffered a new meal which I rejected as already started eating so they offered a free dessert . Accepted a piece of cheesecake.

I visited here for my sons birthday and the family and friends and had a good time, enjoying the company and the food, but a little let down by a issue with pricing. On arrival we decided to sit outside, and we were advised by staff to scan the block code on the table and use the app to order food. A member of our party went back to the bar and ordered their food from there, they noticed that the same food was £2 more expensive when looking at the app menu, from which we had already ordered. This surprised us as it was undisclosed by staff. After questioning this we were refunded, but it just felt wrong.I recommend that you be mindful of this and ask staff before you order. Or just order from the bar with your table number. Also, note that a 10% gratuity is added by default to the cost of your order via the app, which you can choose to remove.Overall the food was nice and good value (at the right price), I particularly enjoyed the chunky homecut chips.

A lovely, clean, and well run pub, with friendly staff. Serves food throughout the day and for a reasonable price. The burgers were great (although the chips are a bit on the salty side) and service was fairly swift. Worthily recommended.

Would have given 5 stars if there was a children's menu today on mothers day when we went for a meal. Meal was lovely and we all enjoyed but struggled with getting my son a meal as he didn't wast a dinner and there was no children's option.Otherwise it was a lovely meal. Thank you 😊

I hadn't been since I was a bairn. It was a place my parents used to love going when they first got together, having both had been through messy divorces.I wanted somewhere nice to take my dad to keep him busy and distracted as my mam is in hospital with cancer. The place mam and dad did their courting seemed like a food choice.Once we were settled in, I informed the lady serving us that my dad may be a little slow in deciding what he wanted, as he is suffering from both dementia and Alzheimer's. She was most understanding and very helpful with dad, made him feel comfortable and at home. The food was wonderful, dad had the beef suet, and as there was so much, he struggled to eat it all. I had a parmo, living in Bath for 15 years now, I rarely get to enjoy one, this certainly hit the spot and if my better half could make chips like that, I'd consider marrying her.Thank-you to the staff for being so understanding with dad, you are a credit to the business.Excellent place to visit.Lovely and clean.Reasonable prices.Well worth a visit.WHEN mam has recovered, we will bring her.

I enjoyed an evening meal with friends, the first time l've been out for over 2 years & since we've met up. There was plenty of space around us & it's also dog friendly. The food was tasty but the portions were a bit off putting, unless you prefer American size portions. There was hand sanitizer at the entrance & although we didn't wear masks to eat l was surprised that none of the staff were wearing masks.

Great country pub. Everything homemade in house. Not a frozen chip in sight! I ordered a steak pie, the pasty was perfect and the steak was tender. Staff welcoming. Fantastic place.

Me and my husband visited the Blacksmiths Arms on Saturday night and we weren't disappointed. We had the chicken parmesan and steak on the stone and WOW the food was a-m-a-z-i-n-g. There was a lovely range of desserts that we couldnt resist, great selection of drinks too. We were met by Catherine the lovely landlady who made us feel at home and lit the fire, so very cosy too, the staff are so welcoming and made us feel at home. Well worth a visit, and we go back time and time again. Thank you Blacksmiths Arms for a fabulous evening, see you again soon x

Lovely warm and welcoming environment. Service was friendly and polite. Food came quickly but it was hot and delicious with huge portions! Steak cooked in front of your eyes was amazing to see! I will definitely be returning soon x

Been meaning to go this place a while as over the years I have eaten in all the places in that area but there. Location and setting is really really nice one of the better ones nice little out side play are for kids up to age of 10 I would say. Got loads of benches out side which is nice especially when the sun is out which is why we went there on a nice sunny day, BUT the service was really poor. Really poor one of worst I've had in a long time. It was busy but still no excuse as that's what that place should be of that calibre, we got there and got told to find our own table out side and they gave us a magic spoon with number on and order on your phone, cool, but massive mistake they made was the table we went to was covered in crums and stains of previous customers so these workers are sending you to table they don't even know were cleaned or not. So after a good 10mins faffing on we orderd the bill total came to £80 roughly for 2 people with a good tip in that for they service. So I asked couple of girls about cleaning table as didn't fancy eating for £80 on a table full of left overs and sticky red patches of some food anyways we got told if we wanted it cleaning we had to stand out the way for 5 minutes while it was cleaned or sit at another table asif it was a massive operation 🤣 and they were really blunt, so I said fine we moved while they cleaned it the girl come and was there no more then 30 seconds and still left the big sticky patch right on table and gave it the worst clean ever. So went back sat down the starter came with no cutlery had to walk all the way back in to get some which I think was a tired mistake by waiter as was a hog day and alot of walking back and forth for the workers, so I told the girl what happened she asked who it was who cleaned it before and apologised and gave it a good scrub so was i okay after that. The food wasn't the best for the prices they are similar to what others are charging but the steaks didn't do it for me considering what you can get out there for same price. But is a nice place won't be going back in a hurry.
