One of the BEST meals we’ve had anywhere in a long long time! Absolutely superb and can’t wait to go back again on our next visit up to Yorkshire in August for hubby’s birthday!Lovely to see so many villagers as well as outsiders use this pub. Refurbishment done very well, staff super friendly and doggy friendly in the bar area!Do book as it gets super busy even on week nights!Highly recommend

Would 100% recommend The Freemasons Arms for food which is very good. I had the steak pie which was one of the best I have ever had. I followed this with the crumble which was again very very good. However can I mention Hannah who greated us with the warmest of welcomes and was very friendly during our visit. It goes a long way when you get 1st class service along with superb food. Will definitely return.

The best Sunday lunch I’ve had in a long time. Staff were great and the pub is dog friendly. Excellent all round.

Staying locally it was recommended. The service was really good, attentive without being overbearing. The food lived up to the recommendation. We will.return. Sorry for the corny dad joke 😉

Popped in for saturday lunch, pleased we booked because it was busy. Excellent menu and all the food I saw going by looked amazing. Friendly staff, lovely traditional surroundings.

Beautiful tasty meal. Inside and out recently completely improved and painted.Will definitely book a table again. Staff friendly and eager to please and ensure all as you would wish.

Gorgeous decor, friendly staff, superb food. Between us for starters, mussels, goat's cheese & mushrooms on sourdough, all nice but especially the mushrooms, beautiful sauce. Mains - hot dog, Thai green curry & lamb rump, again all beautiful but especially the lamb, melted in the mouth. Nice choice of desserts but too full to try. Portion size was just right if you want to have several courses, some places try to impress with huge portions but most is wasted

First proper family dinner in a restaurant for nearly a year and didn't disappoint, food was amazing, service was extremely friendly, everyone had a great night and we will be back.

A complete gem of a gastropub only minutes away from junction 50 on the A1. Car parking available opposite the pub is a little limited but the premises are modern and tastes fully appointed. The service is personable, friendly and helps makes a fantastic ambience. The menu is interesting and varied, with good quality produce and beautiful presentation. Two wood burners just add to the effect. Excellent food - would strongly recommend.
