The Gold Cup Inn in Hambleton

Superb Sunday lunch today. Generous portions and interesting selection of vegetables. Dauphinois potatoes in addition to roast potato, huge Yorkshire pudding, carrot, broccoli, mashed swede, cauliflower cheese. Good beer too! Lovely rural pub.

We went for Sunday lunch today, 5th June 2022.The interior is a little dated but very clean. Staff were very welcoming.We had starters of broccoli and stilton soup which was delicious. My wife had fish cake which was mainly filled with mashed potato and very little fish.We both had a roast beef Sunday lunch.The meal was plentiful but served cold.This was very disappointing, and it’s hard to understand why people struggle to supply a hot meal. The pub was virtually empty so god only knows how they will cope if it gets busy.

The website says the pub is open 12 until 12 on a Saturday. I went there at 2.45 pm on Saturday 21 May '22. The chalkboard in the car park said "we are open" . The curtains were all closed and the door was locked...The drive there was nice, though.

Food was amazing would defo go back, nice friendly bar staff, 10/10

Totally disappointed with the whole evening. Service poor, steak not cooked to as it should be. Expensive night to have to send food back. Lack of acknowledgement is bad manners. Wont be rushing back. Total let down

Long walk around this area finishing at the pub. Polite and friendly service, good pint , good value. Recommended if in the area.

Great village pub, very friendly landlords, the food was very tasty and served quick, will definitely be visiting again in the very near future.

Grabbed a drink after a long walk and had nothing to complain about, good beer and prompt service. Had a very nice day to sit outside for a drink as well.

Quiet during the week, just what I like.Nice terrace to sit out on in the evening sun and good ale.
