The Kings Head Hotel Restaurant in Hambleton

Really lovely rooms and a great breakfast (£8 each) the only bad is that the pub was fully booked for dinner and everything around, so we had to go to Coop and buy bread, ham and cheese, we were a little disappointed. But I will come back because of the room and breakfast

We spent both Friday night and Saturday in the restaurant. Well what can I say other than, the food is to die for. The menu has a nice varied range and the food we ordered (3 courses both nights.. and cocktails) were brilliant. Will defo be back and can not recommend the cheese and truffle chips enough, absolute favourites out of the whole menu

The best part of our meal was the young waitress who served our drinks and happy to take photos. We were a party of 10 and not one of us was happy with our meal or the overall service we received. The food served did not match to what was described on the menu; the pea risotto served with the Sea Bass and Seared Scallops was no more than garden peas on top of the cooked rice, missing gammon steak from Mixed Grill which was supplied eventually and gammon steak missed completely from Signature Hunters Chicken. The manageress was very unprofessional; interrupting our service to deal with someone else, seen blatantly whispering and talking about another party and service with a smile it definitely was not.

Great value for money. Friendly staff, very good breakfast. Pub on site has a number of local beers which were all excellent. Room was lovely, bed very comfortable

Staff are very friendly can't do enough for you, the rooms are clean and modern. Breakfast freshly made and plentiful. Will definitely be staying there again. Gaye you are amazing 😍

Had a reservation, the table we asked for was reserved for us. The staff very helpful, good menu and drinks menu. Food was out in good time and was very good. The steak my partner had was cooked to perfection. Would recommend this hotel for a meal or snack.

What fantastic place to stay. Great accommodation, fantastic food, amazingly friendly staff and an amazing location. You could not ask for any more. Dog friendly hotel and staff is the icing on the cake.

Stayed here for 3 nights over the Xmas period and it was very good on the whole.Both the manageress and Gay were a credit to the team and they looked after us very well.The rooms are very well presented and certain ones are dog friendly.We were in room 21 for 2 nights (a large mezzanine room in the courtyard), but got moved to room 3 overlooking the market place for the final night as the TV didn't work in the first room.Many thanks for sorting this out and offering a refund of one night due to the inconvenience caused.

We had a fantastic stay at the Kings head very friendly staff who went out of their way to make you feel welcome.The room was large and tastefully decorated the bed was super king size and very comfortable. We were in old stable block which was lovely.We had dinner in the restaurant the night before and had a delicious roast I had the vegetarian option 😋the waitress was really efficient and friendly. Breakfast was equally delicious with super friendly staff again. I would recommend the Kings head.
