The Mended Drum in Hambleton

BOOK AHEAD! This place fills up, so definitely book ahead, especially on weekends. The food is great and unique, not your standard pub fare. Fair warning, not a vegetable in sight, except for small salads on some plates. Fantastic nods to Disc World all over the place. Service can be a bit slow when they're busy, but everyone is super friendly, and considering the masses of customers and huge tables when we were there and the lone server, the timing was no surprise. All things considered, I highly recommend stopping in here for dinner!

Great choice of beer and nice beer garden. Friendly locals. As a Terry Pratchett fan I was pleased to stumble upon the place. No sausages on a stick which was a suprise.

Best pub for miles around with a cracking choice of craft ales and lagers and even better still the food served is to die for! You must check the Mended Drum if ever you are in or passing through Huby or the surrounding areas

It was a lovely place with lovely staff it's a place where I will go back to because it was at the end of a Scooter and motorcycle rally but everyone was well looked after so it gets a massive big thumbs up from me and I can't wait to return 😁

What can I say...just been in for a pint and food with the family. I had the festive 'Boris' burger with dutty fries...oh my god...probably the best burger I have ever had...the burger was moist, the brisket was melt in the mouth, the burnt ends chewy and smokey...bloody lovely. Great beer selection with a wide choice including a sour, bitter, IPA, porter and stout. Staff were great. Wish it was my local!

Probably one of the nicest burgers I think I have had. I had the blue cheese sauce burger and it was lovely. There dirty fries looked great too. I would not of eaten both but some of my friends had them and a burger. Friendly staff. Will definitely be going again. Next time will take photos.

Amazing food - never had such good, fresh, tasty, imaginative burgers. Like something you'd find in London! And such an array of amazing drinks. A must try!!

We came here before the main food was served on Sunday, the hospitality was exceptional, we were made to feel safe and welcome. Completely covid safety friendly and the staff could not accommodate us any more. We asked for nachos when it was piza only service but the staff went out of their way to.accomodate and we were not dissapointed, the food was exceptional. We will visit the same camp site up the road just to attend this pub. Shame its only currently open towards the end of fhe week as we wanted to go for Monday dinner. Also a great choice of cask and tap ales.

This is a Fabulous pub with a homely feel and the food is wonderful. We had booked in 14 for birthday celebrations. A daunting task for anyone waiting on tables! But no, this place carried it off to a T . All the food came to us in a timely manner and each dish tuned to perfection !! Would highly recommend a visit to this hidden 5 star gem !!Well done .

My husband and I dined here for my birthday dinner (mostly enticed by the name of the pub) and everything was brilliant. It was quite a long wait but as I understand it, the kitchen is rather small, but it was worth it. Husband said his burger was one of the best he's ever had. My Moroccan vegetable tagine was so flavourful and perfectly done. Sticky toffee pudding was simply perfect. Couldn't believe how low the prices were. We will definitely be back.
