The Old Oak Tree in Hambleton

Kept being referred to as darling every 3 seconds and walk ins when not being called darling by the waitress. Ignored for 31 minutes after being seated, other tables offered drinks, we had to go to the bar. Waitress didn't know menu and told me they didn't do pork and chicken enchiladas, as per the special board, but just pork or meat (which wasn't on the menu). When it came it was pork and chicken. She also kept trying to sell me veg; since when does carrots and broccoli go with an enchilada?Deleted my 5 stars review from my last visit, won't be back darling

Lovely country pub with nice home cooked meals.The outdoor seating area is nice when the weather is good but kids will find it very easy to step onto the car park as there is no barrier between the seating and the moving vehicles. Not a problem unless you have a boisterous toddler with you!Would certainly stop here for lunch again.The honey roast ham sandwich with chips, salad and coleslaw was lovely.

Loved this place. Stayed for a week with our dog. Nothing was too much trouble for them dog was treated well. Amazing food in the restaurant. Quiet area. Really cannot say enough good things. Will definitely return at some point.

Great place to base yourself for a visit to North Yorkshire, between the moors and the dales. Staff are friendly and the the food is wonderful. A hugh menu. You can eat a different meal every night. Value for money was excellent.

Great food, OK prices, very nice inside and all staff were so friendly and helpful. I've knocked a star off as the vegetarian options were limited. They had some(3 I think with the special) but a couple more option would have been nice for my wife. Appreciate though it's a balancing act and hard to get right.

My wife and I with our dog Megan have just spent 3 brilliant night here. The owners were away but the staff here go above an beyond to make you feel welcome, room superb, food excellent, even spoiling Megan with dog biscuits. We will be back soon.

We were recommended the Old Oak Tree by people we met whilst staying in Thirsk, and what a great recommendation too. Booked a table which was a good idea because it was very busy when we arrived for our 19.30hrs reservation. Extremely friendly and welcoming staff, good food, excellent service and lovely atmosphere. Would definitely return and thoroughly recommend.

Where to start!! The Old Oak Tree catered for our wedding on 19th March, the food was absolutely incredible!!! We knew the food would be amazing judging on the food they serve in the pub and we were not wrong! The food was generous portions, incredibly tasty and fresh, everything was served to an fantastic standard and presented brilliantly. Nothing was to big or small for the team, they catered for various dietary requirements - gluten free, vegetarian etc. They served us canapés, a 3 course meal with a selection of dishes to choose from, and our evening food was a hog roast! Which again was exceptional, the smell alone of the hog roast was enough to make anyone hungry.It didn’t stop there! We believe breakfast is a huge part of a wedding and we spoke with Nick and Laurette to see if it was possible for them to cater breakfast as well - which they did. Breakfast was incredibly organised and so fresh, you could tell that a high standard of produce was being used and everything was perfect.The food and service was out of this world, we couldn’t find any fault.If you are thinking of outside catering we would 100% recommend Thank you so much, Tom & Laura.

Great place. Thoroughly recommend. Delicious food, well presented, reasonably priced. Fantastic choice of main meals. Dog friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. All the staff were very friendly. Special mention to Jordan for making us feel welcome. Booking advised as it was really busy for a Monday evening.
