Called in after doing the weekly shop with the wife also child and dog friendly if required had 2 carverys and 2 pints unbelievable value for money and the meat was exceptional really friendly and welcoming choice of bar area or a dining area highly reccomended

Visited twice whilst in Thirsk god pint and a really good Sunday lunch.

Nice relaxed local with sport. Spacious and friendly.

Sunday carvery was very nice on 5th Sept. Great staff. Fresh hot and well cooked. Only slight remarks that couple of veggie sausages or a offer of something veggie may have earned another star especially as cost of a plate of veg was the same price as the meat eaters.

The rooms are a bit tired but the staff are friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable and the shower was ok. Walls are very thin and you can hear the people next door. There is a railway line at the back of the property but it doesn't really impact. Note there is no food on Monday and Tuesday evening and they don't do breakfast.

Everything in a basket. A plastic basket. A sea of beige in a beige basket. Gives the gall bladder a workout. With hindsight i should have asked for a plate. Big plus. I have never had such hot food as in this place! So hot you could not use your fingers as food in a basket requires. It stayed hot until the last bite!

Good budget accommodation - rooms were great value for money. Friendly and relaxed staff. It is right next to a train line but I feel we were well insulated from the noise. Also woke up to see rabbits outside which was nice!
