Lovely fish and chips and a friendly lady serving and cooking.

On a visit from Ireland and popped in for some fish and chips. Due to dietary requirements I can't have gluten so the lady was able to make me fish without batter, the food was delicious and I would definitely recommend this place. Chips were cooked lovely my husband really enjoyed them... 1st class

Knowing I would be traveling to Osmotherley I as always took time to check out the reviews of local take always / cafes / restaurants & was very impressed with the reviews of the local fish & chip shop. I am & always have been a lover of good old fashioned, straight forward fish & chips but am finding it increasingly difficult with each passing year to find chip shops that still satisfy like the Friday night teas of my childhood. Tonight was the exception, amazing fresh cod encased in the lightest batter accompanied by piping hot chips fried in beef dripping… OMG I am hooked, the food was amazing, the staff really friendly with a little light hearted banter thrown in & exceptional value for money… I’ve been transported back in time 45 years & enjoyed every minute of it!!! Cannot wait for an excuse to return

Had fish and chips for my tea, the fish was great and fresh, cooked to perfection. The chips were also great. Staff were really friendly and cooked everything to order. There is a small area in the shop for placing your order.

Great Fish and Chips! Tough to park and a little bit of a wait but very much worth it! To be fair my wait was due to a large order in front of me and the Fish and Chips were cooked to order and seriously fresh!

After a long morning trek on the moors, a take-away lunch from the shop was spot on! The fish was full and flakey, really fresh! Pam, behind the counter, was really lovely to chat with and made me aware of scraps (we don't get these sown south), and I'm now always on the search for them! Cannot recommend highly enough!

Visiting from Leicestershire - our local chippy has won awards for the best in the County, and it doesn’t compare with this place. I didn’t even add salt and vinegar because there was so much flavour in the chips. Enormous fish with just the right balance between crispy and juicy batter. We made a big order and they handled it brilliantly and safely. We are up here for another 4 days and will make sure we visit again before we go. I’m looking forward to trying the parmo next time.
