Stayed at The Three Tuns pub one night only. Set in lovely honeypot village We had not booked but walked in. Pleasant member of staff gave price and showed to room over looking the small village Center. The room was comfortable, in fact very comfortable and we both had a really long sleep only later did I notice the room was called big sleep. The bathroom is very modern with lovely powerful walk in shower. Teas coffee milk with kettle also in room. Breakfast across the road in the Queen Catherine pub, where we also had an evening meal. For the owner you staff very pleasant , walking in young lady , at the bar young man and breakfast chap.

Called in for refreshments after a walk along Cleveland Way and Cod Beck reservoir. Lovely place, Sunday lunch looked to die for, plenty of people eating there so very popular. Will definitely think about going back for food.

Nice food however disappointed to see the new menu, as a vegetarian family the options were limited as apposed to the last time we visited just after lockdown. We won't be returning anytime soon due to this, however we would definitely visit when the menu is revised again.

My partner and I had dinner here a couple of years ago, the food and service were outstanding and we promised ourselves to come and stay here over night, unfortunately the pandemic has hit hosptality hard and it shows. Our evening meal was now wetherspoons stand and the girls behind the bar were busy but for some reason seemed angry, but that could be just me being over sensitive, there was definately something a miss though. Our room whilst comfortable and cosy looked like it had been part stripped, there was no bottled drinking water which is a must in any guest room, there wasnt any milk for a brew in the morning and had there been we could have only made one cup as there was only one tea bag. The bathroom was large and looked expensive but that too had been stripped of alot of things, it did have towels which were sadly needed as the shower flooded the bathroom badly. The bed was very comfortable and of high quality. In the morning we were just going to call it a day and go straight home and not bother with the breakfast, we expected it to be half hearted. The breakfast was in the hotel over the road but what a welcome we got, the chap was all smiles and very welcoming, he made us feel right at home from the get go, the meal he prepared was 10 out of 10, cooked to perfection, a proper hearty Yorkshire breakfast, he was a credit to the hotel and frankly made our stay. Would we go back/recommend, yes, because we're locals and we want to support our local area especially now, with VERY little effort they could change from a 2 to a 4 star just by putting milk and water in the room! And if nobody tells them they'll never know. This is not meant to be taken as a complaint, just points to fix. See you again soon! x

I have just had an appalling experience with this place. I called up today to cancel my meal reservation, two weeks in advance. I was met with an extremely rude man who demanded to know why I had to cancel and when I explained he said I must have known about the unforeseen circumstances that caused me to cancel when I booked and then hung up the phone. Shocking behaviour, I obviously will not be rebooking and their unacceptable attitude and service on the phone is representative of what to expect in person.

Food is a fairly good standard with plenty of veg my only complaint is it was bordering on cold probably due to cold plates .Staff are nice and the pub is attractively and stylishly fitted out and furnished . Just serving hot meals would give more stars

Popped in on a quiet Saturday for late lunch. Seated quickly and service pleasant. Menu is small but seems to cover the essentials well. Booze available is a good standard. Environment pleasant and comfortable with a nice bar area at the front and sizable restaurant further back.
