The Topiary Cafe @ Strikes Garden Centre in Hambleton

Stopped here for a quick break on our way home today. Nice café and a good selection of plants and accessories. Bought myself a new Phaphiopedilium. Didn't explore the outer area.

A sort of Zoo for plants. I waited for feeding time and was underwhelmed

Fabulous garden centre, delicious food in the cafe, large crafting and food section as well as plants galore. Staff helpful and friendly :)

Great place, reliable plants and great gift shop. Good coffee, always spend more than I plan too!

Lovely place to visit. Such a large range of products, plus some lovely food in the restaurant!

Lovely garden centre, an excellent variety of goods, clothing, household, jigsaws and gardening goods. The plants are well looked after and healthy. The only complaint I have is the sunday roast lunch, the meat selection is good but the roast carrots, parsnips and potatoes are under cooked and tasteless, they spoil the lunch, very disappointing.

Shop is now set for Xmas so looks good, not sure if too many of the usual items are now in storage to allow for extra tinsel aisles, possibly a bit Xmas ott.Restaurant is ok but clearly short of staff, menu still good but seeing a waiter kick a fallen napkin further under a table in need of clearing then walk off didn't set a high standard.

A good visit today . Just north of Northallerton on the A167 .A good size garden centre and decent customer car park .Signposted off the main road you are immediately in the car park . There are at least 10 disabled parking bays next to the building .After unloading It was an easy task to find the entrance .Its a decent size and well laid out .We followed the floor path and ended up in the Strikes cafe!! The quality of the food was brilliant. I actually forgot I was in a garden centre!!! I was able to fit my chair under any of the tables due to their style.There are customer toilets and baby changers in both the ladies and gents ,and not in the disabled one (yahoo).Assistance is needed to pull the door as it comes towards you . I was unable to turn inside the room as there were heaters and bins preventing me .Apart from that a great day out
