The Willow Beck in Hambleton

My sons choice to go to the Willow Beck for tea as he loves it there. I noted on the booking it was his birthday but didn’t expect anything special to happen because of it. Our table had birthday banners which I thought was a really nice touch. Meal was really great as usual, service great. Something completely unexpected was them taking the birthday boys meal off the bill, absolutely blown away by this and really appreciated it. Amazing experience as usual

We were looked after by 2 superb members of staff who were wonderful with our disabled 25 year old daughter. As she was celebrating her birthday that day they knocked off the price of her pudding ( which arrived with candles) and her mocktail. They took the time to make sure everything was good for us and couldn't have been nicer. The food was great and excellent value for money, we will be returning soon hopefully!

We have eaten at Willow Beck a number of times in the past, but this was our first post-pandemic visit - we've been very cautious!After researching recent reviews, we decided to go for an afternoon meal.In summary:1. The food was good.2. The service was excellent. The staff were attentive without being overly intrusive and the order arrived exactly as ordered (with a couple of modifications).3. We took advantage of the 2 courses for £12.50 / 3 for £15.00 - good value.4. The rump steak was a bit on the chewy side, but that's not unusual for rump.5. The only negative aspect was finding out that we couldn't use the '30% off mains' or '£10 off when you spend £30' vouchers. I've just looked on your web site and the wording is ambiguous, so I don't know if this decision was correct or not. Why not make the Ts & Cs clear? It's in every one's interest. We hope to use at least one of the vouchers before they expire.6. Another issue (I forgot first time round)... There was an error on the bill - the discount for the one of the meals (3 course for £15) hadn't been applied. However, this was quickly corrected and an apology was provided. I was quite happy with the service again.

Staff very friendly. Quick service. Food was lovely although my mother's pie was very hard. Cocktails were nice but do feel they could be better for the price

Had food in here a few times now and every meal was great.The staff were also great, had a laugh with them and their was a good buzz about the place. Seems like a good team in there to me. Thanks guys 😊

A very welcoming place. The staff are amazing and cannot do enough to help. The food is lovely and a very relaxed atmosphere. I visit regularly with my family and never disappointed great place to eat

We were meeting up with our children and grand daughter to celebrate my birthday. The staff were excellent and checked everything was ok (without checking too often just for the sake of it). Food was lovely, prompt service, excellent evening all round!

Staff were great. Food was gorgeous especially the minted lamb and they had a wide drinks selection. 5 stars.

We were pleased to be greeted at the door on a very cold night were and shown to our table immediately.We were given enough time to look at the menus and make our choice which was the two steaks offer.The wine and food came in good time and both were very good. The wine was tasty and the steaks were cooked medium as we asked. the chips and accompaniments were plentiful and freshly hot.We were asked if everything was OK with our meal but were not pestered by staff.
