Good fish and chip lunch. Generous portions and friendly service. The restaurant upstairs is well set out and clean. Have visited a few times and will certainly go back.

Really good tasty traditional food. Lovely dinning room upstairs. Hubbie had the fish and chips which came with a slice of bread and butter. I don't eat fish, so opted for chicken pieces ( pieces of chicken breast in a light batter) with the most delicious chips, and a nice mix of salad. Hubbi said the batter on his fish was lovely and crisp and light. Tarter and tomatoe sauce on the table. Well worth the visit.

Great food. Super quick. Nice and hot. Good value. Enjoyed my first “Yorkshire Fish Cake”. Great twist on a regular fish cake. Curry sauce good too.

This is fish and chips restaurant and take away that is well worth the visit.So friendly staff and very helpful the food is excellent with a wide choice of dishes. Just give it a try you will not be disappointed.

Lovely seating accomodation upstairs, ( lift available for those who need it ) takeaway downstairs, toilets upstairs. If you can't eat fish & chips etc, lighter bites are available. Nice view of Thirsk market square from windows. Pleasant staff.

Called into Thirsk on our way to Knaresborough needed a quick snack we had a wonderful pot of tea and a bacon roll and a bacon and egg roll all excellent. The cafe upstairs is very clean and the staff were excellent

This cafe catering suits everyone, you can eat outside, takeaway or go upstairs to a lovely cafe with fabulous staff. It is based on a fish shop menu but includes sandwiches, children meals, burgers and a senior citizen meal consisting of haddock, chips, mushy/garden peas, bread and butter, pot of tea for £12 bargain which hubby always gets, my personal favourite is the scampi and salad. This is the place for us whenever we visit Thirsk

Absolutely amazing food. It may be a fish and chip restaurant (also has a takeout) but they do sell other food and there are a couple of vegetarian options, worth noting that there isn't many of them though. I had the vegetable burger and it was quite nice but the lettuce was a little tasteless. Other than that, I loved coming here and the staff are very helpful and friendly. The chips are some of the best I've ever had and I've been to some of the most well known places for chips in the country (Trenchers Whitby etc).
