Delicious food, we had cod and haddock and battered sausage with beautiful chips golden and crunchy , not over cooked. Lovely peas and curry. Staff very friendly.

Don't normally leave reviews, but feel I must on this occasion, been to Knaresborough a few times and was recommended drakes fisheries but to be honest wasn't overly impressed the few times we visited, so we decided to try Aregon fisheries, and I have to say I'm glad we did, it is one of the best fish and chips we have eaten over the years, the owners were really friendly and the prices were very reasonable £5.30 and its a fair old portion as well. Definitely go there from now on.

We're locals and we've been to all the chip shops around town - Aragon is the best taste, price & service by far. If you're visiting and want to taste real Yorkshire fish, sausage, chicken & chips, this is the place to go!

Fantastic traditional fish and chips and very good value for money. The business owner very friendly. They are made to order so you will get the very fresh fish and chips. Strongly reommended for this local fish and chips. !!

Had fish and chips from here. Fish itself was lovely but the batter stuck so badly to the paper it was wrapped in that it stripped the fish. Plenty of chips. Good size portion. It looks like you have to order your fish etc as you go in. There was nothing ready to go apart from the chips. I suppose this way you get fresh out of the fryer food. Perhaps this is why the batter stuck badly to the paper in that the fish was not allowed to sit in the keep warm compartment to allow any excess oil/fat to drain slightly.Still enjoyed the fish. Would use again.
