Askwith Arms in Harrogate

Walked over the stepping stones from Burley In Wharfedale to Askwith with a group of friends yesterday. Didn't eat this time but we made to feel very welcome with drinks brought to us wherever we happened to be sitting as we dodged in and out avoiding the showers. Have had food on previous visits and it was excellent. Lovely pub.

Never experienced such an amazing service, the host was the best pub host I think I have ever met, she simply could not do enough for us! Besides that, we had some food, mine was a bacon, egg and sausage "bap", but it was so much more. Everything, including the bread was so fresh, the bacon perfectly cooked, the chunky chips so tasty and freshly made. And obviously the drinks were great too.I forgot to mention, the location is gorgeous and the view was stunning from the beer garden.

Absolutely first class. Turned up in a group of 12 walkers for a bit of lunch. What a welcome. No drama, just friendly, welcoming service. Good food and service and a full range of gluten free beers, lager and bread. Can’t recommend highly enough. Thank you Askwith Arms, Askwith Village, Otley

One night stop over with motorhome, food was very nice and the staff/landlady really welcoming, we even won the quiz! Definitely recommend for people to visit

What can I say...My husband & I along with our 2 dogs stayed here in our motorhome & the view was outstanding...beautiful walks on your doorstep...absolutely amazing food... couldn't do enough for us... Jane was a fantastic cook & made sure everybody was happy with their meal...even our 2 dogs were treated brilliantly, making sure they were happy & bringing out treats for them... nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended.

Visited last week with my family. We only had a drink and a starter. The ladies behind the bar were really lovely and made us feel very welcome. Brought the baby inside as it was getting chilly and they made us feel really comfortable and made sure the food got to our new table. Have to say was blown away with how good the food was. Will definitely return.

Went in for lunch. The food was excellent, the staff were friendly and chatty and made us feel welcome. Dog friendly, gave us a bowl of water for him without us asking. Highly recommend!

Wow!I was totally shocked by how incredible and tasty the food were at Askwith Arms. I ordered the pork belly roast and the meat was amazing, just fell apart. The dessert was always yummy. The pub is very cosy and spacious for social distancing. The staff as lovely! Can’t wait to come back.
