Went last year and had an amazing time, back this year and the clocktower bar service and food was not up to standards and overall let’s the hotel down. The squid was tasteless and frozen. We found our waitress rude and unhelpful. We had to shout for her attention a few times as she sat us down and did not take our drink or food order and did not clean our plates even though she had walked past them a few times.Went into the bar after and the service was very poor, waited too long to be served and the bar staff were dilatory and didn’t seem to have a clue.

This restaurant is amazing, now it’s becoming a routine going there on wedding anniversary and enjoy food, atmosphere , and great service. Very beautiful place with delicious food, no matter its a starter or main or dessert, everything is genuinely delicious and well presented. Staffs are very polite and friendly and do their best to make it a pleasant memory for customers. Have been there a couple of times and every time it’s been satisfactory. Its also a bounce that you can get different offers combined with amazing SPA! Definitely recommend it!

Bought a voucher for 3 course lunch for wife and myself.Food and service was excellent and with voucher good value. To pay the full price for food and expensive drinks would exclude it from my choice of restaurants though.Look forward to another voucher deal if one comes up.

I have eaten at the clocktower quite a lot of times which I suppose must mean I like it or why word I go back. The food is good and the service as well but in the the end I'd have to say this was probably my last visit. The clocktower has simply out priced itself. £10+ for a starter and £35+ for a steak although other mains were £23+ plus sides. Not a massive choice and I avoided a steak as last time even after asking for the chef to go light on the salt it was covered in salt so had the lamb which was quite good.Tonight we couldn't even have a drink in the bar first because it was heaving with people presumably at a wedding. Then when we got seated we were subjected to constant flashes from the wedding photographer in the adjacent room and a constant stream of people passing our table to go in/out of the party. The food is still quite good but over priced and although the service is generally good other fairly simple things spoil the experience. One last point. Our pre booked taxi was £15 to the restaurant and yet our taxi home booked through the hotel was £21. Something is going on here.

Really great restaurant. The location is amazing and the food is 2nd to none.Where possible they try and use local ingredients and a lot of the ingredients are grown on site.As you'd expect, this is not a cheap location, you are getting what you pay for.A 2 course meal with a bottle of prosecco set us back £125 but I think the price is justified.

Don’t expect to much!Lack of communication between staff. We were recommended a lovely bottle of wine. Starters were beautiful and tasted amazing. Mains were disappointing but the meat was perfectly cooked. Desserts were brilliant.Overall quite overpriced for quality of meal. Don’t think we’ll be back, sorry.

Wonderful surprise to have a vegan menu to choose from but less enamoured by execution. I had an aubergine option - fancy foreign name I didn't understand but I like aubergine so I went for it. It was literally just an aubergine sliced with a glaze.. not a balanced meal at all and I'd say about 200kcal worth of food tops. Not cool! Vegans want a treat too! And protein! Just a veggie version of your burger would have sufficed and been super easy to prepare. Partner ordered another vegan option of a risotto which looked OK / better.
