Crab & Lobster in Harrogate

The most amazing place to have our wedding! Crab Manor is so beautiful and quirky, and had the perfect sized ceremony room for our mini wedding.The food for our reception at the Crab and Lobster Restaurant was AMAZING - everyone loved their food, and we were all absolutely stuffed! They even made a special soup for my Grandpa with limited diet - a big thank you to the chef.Nothing was too much for John and Ines when we were planning the day - they were so helpful, friendly, accommodating and the day planned out exactly as I had hoped for! Nothing I asked was too much for them, and they dealt well with my million questions! Ines made sure the day ran very smoothly, and all the staff at the Manor and Restaurant were so helpful and friendly on the day.We stayed overnight, and the room was fab, and the bed super comfy! All our guests who stayed overnight loved their rooms, and all want to come back for another stay!This was the only wedding venue we looked at, and knew it was the one for us! Thank you so much for making our day beautiful and amazing.

Wow. We had the most amazing cheeky little overnight break here. We’d booked originally prior to the pandemic and it had had to be moved to this year. The occasion was a combination of missed birthdays for me and the hubby and our 1st and 2nd wedding anniversary. It is expensive, and definitely something to save for a treat, however it is absolutely worth it. We stayed in the Bora Bora themed room and visited the restaurant in the evening. When we arrived at the restaurant we were greeted by very friendly staff and shown to our table where, to our surprise, bottle of Prosecco paid for in advance by my father and step-mum along with a card was waiting for us. We ordered starters, mains (lamb and beef) and desserts and it did not disappoint. The food was incredible. Both my husband and I throughly enjoyed it from start to finish and we will go back at some point in the future.The hotel itself is quaint with rooms in the main building at reasonable rates and then external themed rooms (some with private hot tubs and some with shared). The staff are wonderful. We stayed in the Bora Bora suite. Lovely and clean, spacious room with a private hot tub area just down an iron spiral staircase. It does come with the usual complimentary goodies, in this case though the bathroom gifts are molten brown (I love Molton Brown goodies myself). The bathroom has a beautiful roll top bathtub if you like that sort of thing. Overall it’s a lovely place for a break or stay here if you are going to the races.So If you haven’t been here before, please do try to visit. It’s worth it.

Went for a birthday celebration and it was absolutely fantastic. The food the staff were absolutely top class. Well done to you all and looking forward to our next visit.

Food was good and set menu orice reasonable. Bigger than expected portions. Skinny fries nice, soufflé nice but would have benefited from a creamy sauce. Lobster thermador was good but lots of scallops to fill it out. Most food was quite salty. Service was OK. Disappointed with wine list. Had hoped for more by the glass wines. Feel it needs an update and a refresh as it's stuck back in the day. Haven't been for years and wouldn't race back.

Such a fabulous meal in a private dinning pod in the grounds. A special treat for a birthday and wedding anniversary. The day made all the more special by the exceptional customer service of our waitress Sacha. She is one in a million and nothing was too much trouble for her. We would like to thank her for making our day so special 👏 The food was AMAZING and the deserts to die for! We will be back!
