DOMO Japanese Cuisine in Harrogate

First time going to this restaurant and honestly couldn't fault it! Staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive. Place got packed quickly and had a good vibe. The food...was exquisite! We tried the volcano maki and it was one of the best foods we've ever eaten 😅Will be returning in the future 👏

Excellent dinner. Wonderful freshly prepared sushi and great tempura. Will be back for more!

Really enjoyed our visit to this restaurant - staff were lovely and food was beautiful and delicious. The value for money really does vary (kimchi is quite expensive for what you get, but the sushi platter was good value) but overall we came away full for a very reasonable price. Presentation is just gorgeous, and the staff were careful to check we understood what we were ordering! Will definitely be back.

The food was incredible but the service was so slow. They seemed to be painfully understaffed. Also seemed to be taking on takeout deliveries as well which made us feel a bit low priority as the food took so long. Please prioritise your customers who travelled to eat in your restaurant. The London Bridge sushi was my favourite, we tried to order more but they ran out. The bbq char sui was underwhelming in size and taste and should’ve come with rice for the price.

We enjoyed a quiet lunch. Starters of prawn tempura with wasabi and future shock (fried tofu), followed by teriyaki salmon and unagi dum (fried eel in sauce in a box with rice and pickled vegetables). All extremely tasty and followed by cake selection for desert. With a large glass of wine and two beers the bill was around £72. Quite high but definitely worth it for a treat. Good service from the staff.

Really good food. Was a walk in during covid era and they managed to seat us comfortably away from others. Food was great and beautifully presented

This is my fave sushi restaurant, I recommend highly to sushi lovers! I am obsessed with salmon and the sashimi is incredible and so fresh. I got takeaways throughout lockdown and the staff always make me feel welcome every time, I haven’t been for a while but I’ll be back soon!

The food and service were great here - we wanted to order everything on the menu. Our food was superb and everyone else’s looked like it was too. Every question about the food was answered and nothing was too much trouble. I also managed to work out how to open the typically quirky bottle of fizzy Lychee pop without having to ask how to do it!
