Excellent food at a reasonable price and the service is pretty good too. Have used Drake's a few times now at Ripon, this was our first trip to the one in Harrogate and it was just as good, certainly never been disappointed.

Eating at the restaurant is a pleasant experience, with attentive staff and freshly cooked hot food, buttered bread and tea.Prices have risen in the past year, but are still reasonable in comparison to the takeaway costs and there are special deals for pensioners and children. Sufficient parking outside and suitable for wheelchair access, there isn’t a lot wrong with Drakes.

I use to love Drake's fish and chips but lately the chips have been awful. Mostly over cooked and crispy bits. Fish is mostly batter now. Scampi is good but you don't get many. It's a treat for me and costs alot for what I'm getting these days. Disappointed.

This Was The Worst Meal I've Ever Had! Fish Was Overcooked Soft And Soggy, Greasy Chips And The Fish Smelled Like A Tattered Fishing Net, And The Service Was Alright Kinda Like A Regular Chippy

Most over rated place in the area.The customer service is mediocre at best.The servings size is lackluster, bearing in mind I ordered a large.The chips to accompany the fish could hardly be called a portion.The fish appeared to be fresh. But whatever you do. Do not buy the "home made sauce" they were absolutely disgusting. The next day I had bowel issues believed it was caused by consumption there "home made sauce " there are better fish n chips shops in the area. Try at your own risk.Overall big disappointment.

Nice atmosphere. Ordered Fish n Chips twice. One fish was nice and the other was really dry and tough. All the waitress said was oh sorry. So not so happy this this time. Didn't make a fuss as we had waited quite a long time for them to arrive.

Blimey we've never eaten chips like them, chewy to say the least. Must have been cooked about 5 times. The regular fish was slimy, but the dog enjoyed it. I think it was fresh though. Disappointed we've been regular customers for years.
