Imperial Palace in Harrogate

Great food and a great service from start to finish. The language barrier can sometimes be difficult and I believe this may be why people feel the service is bad looking through the reviews. Not a big problem and definitely not enough to rate the place lower than 5 stars.We had plenty to eat and not once were we made to feel like we'd ordered too much. Nothing was wasted and we came away full and content. Will definitely come again even if it was a 50 mile round trip.

We love Chinese food and have eaten at some of the best places. For the money, this place is really good. A nice atmosphere, all of the staff were friendly and attentive. It's basically fast food dine in style. The plates were smaller than normal, but they would be to allow you to sample a few more dishes. All the food was fresh, piping hot, had generous amounts of meat /prawns, and it was all very tasty. Nothing whatsoever to complain about, very good value, and well worth a visit. 👍👍

Absolutely appalled by the "customer service" i have just received an the Imperial Palace Chinese restaurant!I just called up now to book a table for Monday for a family valentines treat for myself, my husband, my 11 year old and 1 year old.I asked for a table for 3 people and a baby.This was exactly what was said to me " well, will the baby be quiet because its valentines day" I was a bit miffed but I said, yes, she will be fine.They asked what time and I requested 6pm to then be told would 5.30 work so we could get in before it gets busy! I said, yes, fine and left my name.I put the phone down and thought about it for a minute and thought, actually, no! Why should we spend our hard earned money there when I was basically made to feel like my baby is unwelcome there. So I called back and told them was appalled and canceled my booking. No apology or anything. He in fact sounded pretty pleased I canceled.Massive Shame as we used to go eat there a fair bit but after the disgusting way I have just been spoken to regarding my baby daughter I will never step foot in there again.

Best Chinese in town, clean, friendly, attentive staff. The food is fabulous & delicious

4 of us went at evening time very clean and tidy staff excellent food is very good and hot value for money we will be back soon

Husband and I are spending a couple of days in Harrogate. We were recommended this Chinese buffet restaurant as one of the best. Didn't book, but arrived early and got a seat. Service was very good, but food was below expected standards. Both ordered spare ribs. Very fatty. I ordered sesame chicken and chips. Chicken was oily and tasteless, and chips didn't arrive for about 5 mins afterward. Chicken dish was taken away and asked if I wanted anything else? I ordered chicken satay on skewers. Turns out to be prawns in batter. Yuck. I hate fish. Still had to pay £33.90!!! . Left hungry deflated, and so disappointed.

Best Chinese restaurant I've been too I have to say. This is actually a buffet restaurant like no other because the set up is different from your regular buffet. Everything we ate was made to order so it was fresh food we got each time. The first time we went there was in June and because it was so good, we went back again in September. Its a far place to travel from where we live but the food was that good, we didn't even mind the distance.The staffs were extremely friendly and attended to all our needs. I'll defo highly recommend.The only little issue was that one of the dishes I ordered was salty (beef in green pepper an black beans sauce) but I could have returned it and requested for another one which they would have done but didn't want to waste the food.Highly recommend anytime any day..

Amazing food, loved everything that was ordered. Staff were lovely. My family loved it so much they've been twice even though they live a few hours away. I'll definitely recommend this place.

Fantastic restaurant.Firstly tables well spaced and the place is very clean-includingthe toilets.I thought the Sunday price of £14.99 very reasonable for the meal.The best bit is being able to order off a menu unlimited times (as long as you don't waste too much).We didn't have a bad dish it was all delicious.We had 2 rounds of starters followed by one large round of mains to share then we were full!

Good all you can eat Chinese food which is made to order. Super tasty! Menu isn't elaborate but the choice is ample enough for most in my opinion. Price is very reasonable but does vary according to the time of week you visit. Central to Harrogate and parking could, potentially, be a problem.Service was fast, efficient and friendly and importantly there was a smile! Well worth a visit.
