Excellent food and service. Good selection of beers and wines. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Ideal setting for visiting Fountains Abbey, Ripon and surrounding areas. Would certainly visit again.

First time visiting the Masons Arms and we were all impressed with the size of the pub, decor, staff and great food.I had the Hunters Chicken burger.The village of Bishop Monkton is very pretty as well.Dog friendly as well.

I booked an overnight stay whilst on business and found the price to be around the same as staying in a soulless hotel chain. The room was compact but beautifully presented and immaculately clean.We had a couple of beers in the garden where there was a lovely atmosphere and later enjoyed a super meal inside. We chose the steak night special and the quality, presentation and price were all excellent.During a time when we understand that staffing is a real issue for the hospitality sector, it was so refreshing to receive efficient, polite and knowledgable service.All round a great experience!

Another great country pub. The area between ripon and Harrogate is just full of them. We went on a Sunday around 1800. This meant they had run out of Sunday roast (it’s good so you can’t blame them). So we had to go off the menu. Three of us, three dishes. All happy. Was very busy but still got great food in reasonable time. Chef looked knackered. Highly recommended.

Absolutely delicious food. Been here a good few times since moving to the area and it's always been a hit. Drinks and food are served with a smile and the staff are always helpful. We'll keep coming back!

Great pub and eatery, local beers all excellent but I recommend Hambleton brewery STUD.. which is gluten free and very tasty. The Masons has become more of an eatery, and serves high quality food, we were very tempted by the Tapas Thursdays offer of 3 dishes for 13 quid. Staff are very busy, but service is quick and efficient.

Perfect old English pub set in a beautiful friendly village in the heart of Yorkshire. The food was delicious an the room was spotless won't hesitate to stay again.
