It was my first time trying Olivers .. Nice chips and muchy peas.. Friendly staff.. However the regular fish was very.. very small. I'd say like.. any other "normal" reg fish but halved straight down the middle.. Length ways . Just a heads up.

Was in Harrogate from Scotland for our sons passing out parade. Had a meal at olivers. Really enjoyed it and lovely friendly staff. 😊

Brilliant fish and chips,We had a table booked and meeting up with family there,The young lady who served us was so attentive and helpful all the way through,The service from everyone was really good,live it there would highly recommend it.10/10 for everything.

Lovely fish with good batter and perfect chips. Decor needs updating and tables are very close to the benches not leaving much room to get in and out of the seat. Tables are cleaned after every diner has left.

Just order a haddock and chip with scraps . Just got back and opened it . Batter on fish was over cooked very disappointed .as my job is selling fresh fish . This was double frozen 💯 hopefully it was just because they was finishing up .very sorry to leave this review but I must to keep my industry alive have photos would like to send them but don't know how sorry

The quality of the fish and chips from here are in fact superb. The reason for such a low review is because the staff really let the place down, especially the woman that is on the counter she has absolutely no interest in serving you whatsoever. I stood in here a week ago and watched as a guy patiently stood at the door as all 5 of their members of staff had their backs turned away from the counter staring in to the same deep fat fry. Absolutely appaling customer service which is a real shame because the fish and chips are spot on.

We have given Olivers so many chances to get things right. Unfortunately they don't have consistency in the quality. We gave them one last try the other night, chips were ok but the fish was dreadful, dripping with grease, over cooked and rubbery. Such a shame as its local to us but too many chances and still not consistent. Will be going further afield for decent fish & chips.

Nice fish and chips restaurant. The two ladies who served us were nice, especially the lady who took our orders. They also give you proper heinz ketchup.The haddock was nice, the batter was light, crispy and tasty. We totally enjoyed our meal. I had the regular fish and chips with mushy peas, and a slice of bread/butter, which was more than enough for me.

The best fish & chips I have ever had. Super moist and tender. I had the mega fish & chips and could barely finish. Make sure you also have a beer to wash it down.
