Papa John's in Harrogate

Used to be so good, however the last 2 years have been nothing but downhill for this branch. Dough is overproofed, pizzas are overdone, sides have become disappointing. Such a shame because I used to love papa johns religiously. They need a rep to investigate why this store isn't as good as it should be

Ordered pizza over and hour ago and still on ‘being made’. Called multiple times and no answer. AVOID

AVOID! If I could leave 0 starts I would. Having a dairy allergy I ordered myself a vegan pizza. After eating I was extremely ill for the next few days. I get in contact with papa Johns and I am told that because I don’t have a photo of the pizza they cannot investigate. I am lucky but if someone else with a more severe allergy is given the same it would be lot worse.

Ordered pizza at 6.30, after an hour I tried calling and phone was never answered. Waited till 8.30 then drove round myself to see where the pizza was. Not even started making it yet, appalling service, cancelled order and will never order from papa John’s again. Absolutely hopeless. Terrible customer service. Do not recommend at all.

Ordered for ASAP delivery was advised eta 19:05. Food arrived 20:15 almost 2 hours after initial order. Food was cold and item missing, only discovered this after delivery driver had gone as was still caught up on the cold food. Tried calling restaurant serval times no answer, one time I did get through at 19:30 said food was out for deliver my already so likely that it took over 45 mins to delivery. Delivery Driver said couldn’t find and couldn’t get hold of restaurant either. Ultimately absolutely appalling service and will not be ordering again from them until collection resumes as this is only way it seems to get hot tasty food.

There was a serious incident happening outside the premesis in which I asked the staff to call the police 3-4 times in the space of 10 minutes in which they did not. This ended up with 2 members of staff getting spat on and the man who caused the offence got away. If the staff had rung the police at the time, the police would have caught the man and the spitting would not have taken place- the police agree with me on this.I will never go to any Papa John's again in my life. Appalling. Pizza was also cold when we got to it but decent quality I should admit. That's what you expect for £15 though.

Amazing pizza, good staff and completely handmade pizza from scratch. Delicious.

Superior quality pizza. Fast service for delivery and collection. Friendly staff. Lunch time offer is a bargain and a half!

I actually really like the pizza from here, I'm pretty critical about food, or just petty... but I've been surprised by their quality of pizza, certainly will be using them again and delivery times are usually pretty good too, beat Domino's by a long shot.
