A lovely pub with a wonderful interior of beamed ceilings and open fires.There's a good variety of dishes on the menus, including vegetarian and vegan options. The food was generally very good for a pub, although the chips (triple cooked) seemed more like oven chips.Service was great, attentive, friendly and polite.

What a lovely pub. Unfortunately on the day we went it was booking only. However they managed to fit us in,and we weren't disappointed. Food was excellent along with the service. Would definitely recommend this place. Give it a go it's Also in a lovely area. 10 out of 10. For food ambience and service will definitely be back 👍👍👍

First visit in ten years. What a change. Friendly helpful service. Good menu. The restaurant has more of a traditional feel to it. Plenty of room with tables nicely organised. A restaurant rather than a licensed cafeteria. We will return.

Lovely little pub very friendly staff i've not tried the food yet but the service i've received when me and my girls go in for our Wednesday afternoon hot chocolate and reading books after school has been excellent I would give more stars but it only goes up to 5 lol. The girls really love the hot chocolate apparently it makes them read and remember there spellings better lol. If u like reading dont forget to check out the charity book corner next to the front door

Lovely quaint pub with lovely warm ambience. Friendly polite staff. Plenty of space which added to the warm welcoming feeling. Definitely a step up from the square and compass in the welcoming affect. Service over, over filling a venue definitely 1means we enjoyed the visit and will come back again.

Same day booking, booked in the morning for a family of six with no problem.We Arrived at the restaurant parking was great and the building looked so lovely with the Christmas lights, walked in and wow such friendly staff and Christmas decorations everywhere and a wood fireplace too all was all amazing.The meal and service was 100%. We will definitely be coming back.All the staff were absolutely brilliant, thank you all so much for a lovely evening and hope you all have a lovely Christmas 🎄 😊

Visited here many times over a number of years, always good food and service. Lovely spacious venue. For the first time for ages they also had a porter beer on, which was great, makes a change as mostly they only have had light beers on the pumps. Well worth visiting.
