SO! Bar and Eats Ripon in Harrogate

As always fantastic food and fantastic service from so bar Ripon today. Been visiting this pub 5 yrs now and I've never been disappointed. Food is always lush and plenty of it. Staff are always friendly and accommodating. If u prefer proper chips to fries then u can always ask to upgrade to proper chips!! Well worth the extra calories!!! Oh and the onion rings r huge!!! My niece is coeliac and loves eating at so bar as they have great gluten free menu too.

Had a great value 241 lunch here, pleasantly surprised that their food and drink offers extend to a Friday as locally to us that is unusual. Friendly, helpful staff.

Gorgeous food, not overpriced, order arrived correct and within 20 minutes. Staff were really helpful when we asked about which ciders and beers they had. Also dog friendly, brought out treats for our furry companion.Menu was really modern and definitely to our taste.A star was knocked off due to the tiny round tables that couldn't accommodate our food and they were really high compared to the easy chairs we were sat in, felt like a 2 year old reaching their dinner above their head. Other than eating off my lap it is definitely a place I'd recommend.

Had a meal today and all I can say is if you are really hungry you will love it the size of the chips you could play jenga with. Really good food and Meghan behind the bar is so lovely and welcoming definitely going back well done guys.

Really friendly pub , good food and a good selection of drinks

Sorry, but at nearly 12 quid for this, I’m left very annoyed. The chips were packet McCain’s with out a doubt, not house made no seasoning and the smallest portion of chips I’ve ever seen. The bread was anything but ciabatta, and the filling was minimal, clumped in the middle. I’m not even going to mention my wife’s food. I’m all for supporting our hospitality during theses times but I’m not about to get taken for a fool! I will continue to drink beer there to help them, but the food is well and truly off my list. As a chef it’s disappointing to see this type of food being served at ridiculous prices...

Lovely place, lovely Indian salad enjoyed by me. Only qualm was partner asked for a plain burger no veg or sauces and it came with sour cream so had to be redone and we ate separately. But his burger was lovely once redone, just attention to detail and notes on orders/tickets. Friendly staff. Lovely atmosphere.

Very nice. The food and beer were good value, the beer kept well and the food nicely cooked and big portions. The staff were very helpful and friendly. A nice experience.

We were visiting Ripon for the weekend and came here for Sunday lunch. Unfortunately the service was really slow and we waited an hour for our food even though other people were service first who came in after us. When the food arrived I have to say I was very disappointed the meat was very fatty veg was only warm and tasteless. After complaining I wasn't charged for the food otherwise it would have been only star
